Just wondering we have some HUGE nationals coming up and i know a HUGE part of the country has been affected by this crazy weather. Have you had to cancel a lot of practices? When you are in the gym, do you have marathon sessions to make up for lost time? Just curious

UA has Jamfest Chicago Nationals this weekend and our gym was closed Tuesday and Wednesday due to a blizzard. They did schedule extra practices for some teams for last night and tonight to help make up the lost practice time.

Our local NCA Classic for tomorrow has been canceled due to the weather here. The gym was closed Tuesday and Wednesday and we had "optional" practices last night for a couple of teams. More teams are practicing tonight and tomorrow. Then we apparently have another round of winter weather coming at us next week. Ugh. Oklahoma just does not know how to handle winter weather well.

Yepp...we got about 6 inches last night, and i live in Dallas, TEXAS! Crazyyy :p but i had practice last night and the night before that but we talked with our coaches and were getting 2 extra days on the weekends...thank god! Because NCA will be here before ya know it ;)

with the amount of snow we've had in new england we've luckily only had to cancel 2-3 practices.
unfortunately were supposed to get more snow saturday and thursday right before a huge national for us. just hoping its nothing major!
whats worse is the amount of snow days all the schools in CT are having. most schools haven't had a full week since before christmas break!

This thread is hilarious to me. I don't think we've cancelled practice due to weather in like 2 years or something. It's been a long time!

We didn't have a choice by us. The government actually declared a state of emergency in Lake County, IL and all roads in the county were closed. You either had to be a plow truck or have a police escort to travel in our area on Wednesday.

Yeah, I heard Chicago (and area) was quite the mess. But the Blizzard in Chicago vs A few inches in TX is what makes me giggle. You would think it was a national crisis by how some of my friends have been acting.

Yeah, Chicago was BAD. I was about to get on you...but since you've clarified...

I grew up in Rochester, NY and even I had to admit this blizzard this week was a good one.

We've been closed since Monday.....Technically we haven't missed any practice since we got our Monday in before the storm and hopefully the gym will be open to tomorrow. School has been closed all week also :-(

I'll have to admit that New York has one of the BEST snow plow systems around (not being biased either). They really know how to clear up roads FAST! Driving in other states for competitions when it's snowing is kinda scary when their plows don't even know what they are doing!

I live in the suburbs of chicago and there is piles of snow twice my height! we had two snow days and the roads that are normally 4 lanes are 2 because they couldnt plow them
