I am hoping all these things will have happened:

-Universal Scoresheet for the entire industry (based of the Varsity one)

    -Large is now 30

-Only 5 divisions (Small and Large Senior, Small Small (4 boys) Large Small (4 boys) Large Large (5 - 15 boys)

-No more 'international' divisions (or no more US involvement)

-International teams enter club divisions like everyone else

-Standard level 6 division encouraging colleges to go to worlds. No weird veiled attempts of international and 3 teams and weirdness

-Senior Open 5 only allows twisting tumbling with back handspring entries

-Announcement of registration system for USASF to help control mid-season gym hopping, age cheating, and finally track what the heck is going on in allstar

    -Paperless competitions.

-Clarification and fixing of rules that are a little silly (another thread about to be started)

-Orange goes large senior (hah.. so kidding. no really, I am kidding.)

I agree with everything, except getting rid of International. I (for obvious reasons) love competing in that division with some of my college teammates and getting to know some of the highschool girls, and I personally LOVE taking a break from level 6 skills (AKA backspotting double full baskets, etc). There are only 4 girls that cheer for Clemson on killers, and Clemson would never do a level 6 all star team no matter what the circumstances were, so taking away the international division would deny me competing in the Cheerleading Worlds, since I am aged out.

It's early and I'm rambling, so that probably made no sense.

How about College/adult/open(whatever you want to call it) level 5 and 6 (both must be 17 and up).

I just dont like the 14 and up and 'international'

I can deal with that! I like taking away the term "international" and getting rid of the 3 "weirdness" at worlds.

there shouldnt be 'international' divisions. yes i understand (ohhhh look out... here comes my soap box) that the international teams do not tumble/jump well, but it is not like we adjusted baseball/basketball to make it easier for them. we should encourage them to enter club divisions like eveyrone else and start businesses teaching tumbling.

stop me if i am wrong, but isnt teachign tumbling the number one money maker for a gym? how the heck are international teams going to create gyms that make money if they dont teach tumbling?

I completely agree. I think that the open division should use the same score sheet as the club divisions. It's basically a different type of cheerleading. It currently is one big stunt fest, and jumps/tumbling/dance are "overlooked" (that can be argued against when looking at GT Black's routine-not makind finals because of their dance, yet maxing out on stunts).

So, why adjust to other countries?

So more countries participate because they will have a more legitimate shot at worlds?

So it has a more UCA style and that's the path the uppers in the industry want all stars to one day take?

So the USA doesn't easily win everything?

Agree with your whole list Kingston!! And I say get rid of "international" and just make it "open" level 5 and "open" level 6 and like you said, keep the age minimum 17 for both divisions. I don't have a problem with college kids still wanting to cheer all stars so having this division would help them do that. And why not say all countries enter whatever division their ages allow for and still guarantee that at least three teams from each country will advance to finals. That way these teams coming from other countries are still pretty much guaranteed to compete both days. And I honestly think it may help these other countries work harder at "the whole package" AND when they start placing above some US teams in finals it will encourage them to keep working harder and harder to move up the ranks every year.

So King, when are you gonna get the USASF to implement all of this??? :)

Winning Worlds in the club divisions is not being the best in the World, it is being the best in the USA. Even though we know that the club division winners would clearly still be the best in the World at this point and time, the World title itself is not accurate.

Any team in the world is perfectly welcome to enter any of the club divisions and several have before. They just have to meet the same criteria.

id rather have it 14 and up still for international... but other than that... the list looks great! i do like the idea of it not being international though and being a regualar division. if thats what you mean by it. i definitely dont like the idea that only top 3 from the us make it to day 2, not just because i didnt make day 2, because a lot of amazing teams in intl coed 5 didnt make day 2 because of the rule.

Yes, but most of them don't. I'd like to see Worlds become Worlds for all divisions, not Nationals.
