Spirit Of Texas Royalty, Day 1 And 2 Comparison Video - Cheersport 2018

I was curious how Royalty's base score increased from 97.23 on day 1 to 99.07 on day 2 (both zero deductions!), so I combined the two performances into a synchronized video, with day 1 on the top and day 2 on the bottom:



I don't have a good eye for this. What were the important differences?

Every team in that division had a base score increase between day 1 and day 2. That's pretty typical for 2 day comps.

Day 2 looked cleaner from first glance, doubles ups, opening coed stunting, and pyramid are the sections I noticed the most improvement.

Opening twist up partner stunts in opening on day 1 were shaky.

Exactly! Trying to dim someone else's light won't make yours shine any brighter.

I thought they looked amazing both days. Perhaps they should have gotten a higher score Day 1, too!

Pyramid day 1, second stunt from the right (around 1:55) and coed opening stunts.

ETA: I don't necessarily believe everyone is trying to start something when they ask this question. We didn't go this year, but I saw a team hit great day 1 and get a great raw score. Day 2 they had two stunts go down, a couple of dropped body positions and their raw score went up .5 pts. I didn't take the time to compare the videos, but I think it's normal to wonder (whether your team or someone else's) what caused the change in score.
