I've been seeing a lot of people talking about sweating/slipping while stunting in just a sports bra. Do you not use chalk? Like how a gymnast chalks their hands, flyers chalk their torso & hands. It's really helpful when partner stunting

Never thought of that but that's a really good idea. Thanks

yeah we use chalk frequently, it's always available where we have practice (a private gym that has gymnastics equipment too). The owner is a the coach's uncle so we get to use this world class facility for free during the year!

We can wear sports bras there because it's just us in there during practice hours. But whenever we have had practice at school, we have to cover up. I usually wear my sof camp shorts and an Adidas compression tank that is shorter but not a full sports bra. It shows about an inch of my midsection which is ideal because I feel more comfortable having the bases get some hand to skin grip on me than trying to grab onto some slippery fabric. The chalk helps keep things dry from sweat but it can get messy. During games obviously you cant use it or it will make the uniform and my stomach look like a mess. For games the bases use a LIGHT layer of waterproof hairspray on their hands to make them slightly tacky for a good hand-skin grip. It really works and doesn't show on my uniform either!

Sports bras are a big no-no for our cheer program. Cross country girls get to run and be around the school in sports bras and spandex, while we soak in sweaty t-shirts in our unairconditioned gym.

We can wear sports bras but only our team ones. The other option is out gyms tank top. I love practicing in my sports bra because the air conditioning doesn't work in our gym so it's always SOOOOO hot!
