All-Star Stingrays Half Year Teams

Did anyone else look at Stingrays' half year teams placement document? They have a TON of kids enrolled in this program. I've never seen a half year program this successful.

I believe they were able to make 9 additional teams. Great opportunity to try cheer without the "total" commitment. So very exciting! :rays:

There's 7 teams in our full year program and stingrays has 9 in just their half year. Ridiculous.

A lady I work with has a granddaughter on one of the half year teams. This is her 2nd year doing it and loves it.

I looked at the list and it kept going...and going...and going...they are amazing so it would be expected, lol.

That's got to be a busy gym, I wonder how they work all those team practices.

Well they do have the largest spring floor so its probably not that hard

I'm curious as if half year teams are ran any different as far as practice. Are costs basically the same minus all the tuition/apparel/uniforms? And do they just go to one competition?

One competition. Practice twice a week. Only tuition costs (uniform chor music and comp fees are included already). Only go up to level 2(if you wanna go higher have to do full year teams). I forget if a tumbling class is included. That was last years stuff (I'm pretty sure).

So more serious than Rec but not as stressful as full year.

And it goes from now until February/March ish? That would be a blast to coach. And I'm sure the amount of kids joining the next year is fantastic. You guys will probably have to blow out a wall and add spring floor #49.

Just to add, I believe I saw somewhere that ECE has close to the same number of kids for their half year program!
