High School Trying Out For Varsity Cheer Captain

Hey y'all so I am a junior this year and that means that next tryout (March ish) I will want to tryout to be co-captain for the team. We always have two captains and its voted anonymously by the team. I feel that I have a lot of good ideas overall for the team and I am super organized and I really love serving and helping others. Any suggestions y'all have? Thanks!!!

Just be really nice to everyone and use leadership. Show that you're dedicated and love the sport.

from personal experiences/observations:
don't kiss up. yes, be nice and genuine, but kissing up will only result in people getting annoyed and they'll see right through your plan
really show that you're dedicated to the team
be friendly! show that you care about each person and grow your friendships and earn respect
really show that you care about the program and don't be afraid to share ideas when appropriate!

good luck being captain is a lot of fun and a lot of hard work (but very rewarding)
