I'm beginning to realize how disadvantaged the West Coast teams are when it comes to representing at all of the largest competitions. Not only are they cost prohibitive but then there is exhaustion and jet lag from the travel. Then, in addition to that there is the problem created at the schools due to excessive absences. It takes two days of travel just to attend East Coast competitions when you're on the West Coast. All in all, if a team from the West Coast shows up for competition on the East Coast you'd best believe they mean business because it took a lot for them to get there.
