Care to share your uniforms? Old or new?
We started out with this, it was our prototype...but it was definitely missing something and I could tell it wouldn't stand out on the mat.
So we added white and ended up with this as our final.
I can't even begin. My oldest daughter started cheer with Rec in 1st grade and she is now a sophmore in college and they still have the same uniforms.....But I must say, every year they get new bows....so that does help.
Do they just rent out the uniforms or is it just the same design? That's kind of crazy though, I'm glad they've found something they like and have stuck with it!
No they don't rent them....The Rec program purchased them and occassionally we may order additional Vests, but they are the same uniforms. The girls fit and pick them up at the beginning of the season and then have to return them at the end of the season. There is a fee if the uniforms are not returned.....but yes, the same uniform. The did change the style of the skirts for the older girls.
Our organization president used to basically hate me because we changed our uniforms every year, but the parents bought their uniforms so it wasn't too bad.
We are getting new uniforms this season and once they arrive I will post them. This is extrememly exciting because we have used the same uniforms for 7 years. Got the old ones the year we started competing and now getting new ones the year we are rec allstars. New endever - new uniform, I just hope we dont wait another 7 years to get new - even tho I love our old uniforms as much as the new ones.
How do you get away with these uniforms at Rec competitions? I thought Rec teams had to wear full tops. Or maybe it's just most rec teams DO wear full tops.
No, you're right - most EPs have something in the rules that say that rec teams must have their midsections completely covered when standing up.
i've never even heard of that rule. it doesn't exist at any of the competitions we go to.
They got these uniforms in 2007 and this will be their last year using them, but the oldest girls got these new ones for competitions & the last game last year:
I think they looked terrible on them because none of them fit properly. But this year they look way better & fit the girls.
Woah. that is one awesome uniform! of course it would look different for me(considering i am a boy) but i love it.
I'm not trying to be mean or anything, but are you sure its Rec Cheer? Because i know theres rules saying you MUST have a full top for School and Rec Cheer.
it's definitely rec but it's allstar rec, not game rec. it's not at a big allstar gym, though.
