Her poor daughter. Random thought but I wonder with happened to Victory vipers from Texas?

A bit confused:

I've seen this reported as HS cheerleaders but I am assuming Victory is an all star team?

This all star team is having a March tryout? Or is this woman just being proactive on the cray cray for April/May?

I am always so saddened by this sort of thing because:

1. Do you not think your kid could make this team on her own merit?

2. Do you really think these kids won't immediately freak out and say "omg that's my pic but that is not me doing that!"

3. Do you think people are this dumb?

4. Do you not realize that now your kid is DeepFake Video Girl? And people have a really long memory. Ex: I am not even from Texas but I remember the Cheer Murder for Hire Mom's name and her kid's name and that happened a long time ago!

not surprised... there are so many stories of parents and adults protecting star athletes or their kids even when a mountain of evidence is stacked against them. So a mom taking revenge over a youth sport is pathetic, but i aint surprised by the lows people will go anymore.

Wonder how long before Lifetime makes a movie about it............

I don’t even think it’s about if her kid could make the team. It was probably about making her kid’s rivals suffer. And if they got kicked off the team too, great.

I’m sure she thought she could get away with it because of course the teens in question are going to say, “That’s not me!” whether it’s them or not. And what’s more likely: that they actually made these very common kid mistakes and are now lying to cover their butts, or that some mom was crazy enough to make deepfakes of children? I’d bet she was banking on hiding behind the sheer craziness factor of the alternative to get away with it.

ETA: I missed the part where she tried to make it look like the teens sent nudes. Don’t screw around with child exploitation, lady. Even fake child exploitation. It’ll go straight to the police real quick, especially if the parents in question suspect their kids are not the nudes type.

For example: if this happened to me as a teen, my mom wouldn’t have believed it for a second. She knew I was super insecure about my body at that age (even though now I realize in hindsight it was spectacular) and that I was iffy even about two piece swimsuits. A nude pic would’ve been out of the question for me. She would’ve known that.

And even if she thought I had it in me to take nudes, I think she would’ve recognized it wasn’t me pretty quickly in the doctored photos. I’m assuming the psycho mom slapped the faces of her daughter’s teen rivals on the bodies of adult performers (I’m choosing to be generous and believe she didn’t actually go searching for photos of exploited teens that might’ve created a more believable image). Thus any parent would realize, “Hey that’s not my kid. She’s got freckles on her shoulders. Also, she’s not 34.”

Serious question: is there a case to be made here for charging her with creating/distributing child porn? Or at least intent to do so? Because even though that’s not what she actually did, she clearly tried? I mean she took the face of a minor and tried to make them look nude. It just feels like a felony to me.

I follow a law YT channel, and I'm very interested to submit this case to her as a question. In my mind, yes, but it depends on how the laws are laid out in different states.

Is it Legal Eagle?
No, but I have seen some of his videos (there's a Lindsey Ellis one where she consulted him...if you know, you know lol). Emily D. Baker- Law Nerds Unite!! She does a LARGE variety of legal reviews between pop culture and internet people among other things (Kimye, David Dobrik, FreeBritney, etc.). Highly recommend- although she is, as she says, fond of the curse-y words.
