I had my pee wee (12 and under) rec team tumble to Britney Spears 3...its a good beat:oops: Another rec team used part of Plies' "Becky" (Will Ms. Becky please stand up?) Alot of the parents didn't know what it meant, but enough did. :jawdrop: In our league you get fined for inappropriate music - I think the Becky team was fined.
ohhhh myyyyy. i cant even listen to that song outside of cheer without being extremely uncomfortable. theres not even a part that even sounds the slightest bit appropriate

It was pretty horrible. It happened two years ago and people are still ranting about it on the Rec boards here. The team that used it was like "what's the big deal???"

Last year we did our entire dance routine to "Mercy" by Duffy....a little edgy, but it worked.

Saw a youth team with Britney Spears 3 in their routine a couple years ago. Including the groaning. I thought DH was gonna die!
I was on a senior team a couple years back, and we got docked for that song, without the groan. Luckily it was at a normal NCA comp and not nationals.

That brings me to another question: Is it OK to just sound effect over the bad part? Even if everybody knows the song? Take for example that 3Oh3 song with the lyric "don't trust a h*" We all know what h word was being said. Is is good enough just to put a whoosh noise over it, even if everyone knows the song?
The senior 1 team from my gym danced to "Peacock" by Katy Perry this year. It went "are you brave enough to let me see your *woo woo* don't be a chicken boy stop acting like a *uh uh*" It was borderline inappropriate, IMO.

Omg I don't remember what team OR song it was ( -_______- ), but at Worlds, one international team had a Pitbull song with one of the more er... foul curses in it, and they didn't bleep it out or anything! The whole place was shocked hahaha
In their defense, they probably didn't understand that it was a curse haha

I know exactly what your talking about, cause i was about to post the same thing!! im pretty sure they were some team from mexico and everyone was like uh are they forreal?

LOL, over here in Belgium we don't really have a lot of rules or guidelines, there are like 3 Allstar Cheerleading Companies the rest are all pompomgirls; at competitions we're being put in the same categories as them because the majority of so-called cheerteams here doesnt do any stunts --> result, awesome stunting on cheermixes (us) versus pornshow on uncensored snoopdogg music (pompomgirls). Really, it's horrifying. imma look for a vid on youtube hahaha

Absolute worst for me was All Star Legacy sm ltd coed in 08-09. They danced to "if you seek amy" at first no one understood why. Then they put two and two together and was like omg!

Rockstar Rolling Stones at 10 worlds had "face down get it up that's the way we like to Rockstar" .....uh yeah I think most know the real words of the song.

Umm... I don't get the thing with "Seek Amy". Could someone enlighten me, please?
