Our 3rd and 4th graders are set to get new uniforms next year (yeah!!) and we don't like the options that Varsity has. I know we have a lot of restrictions since we are a Catholic school, but would like to have options. Any suggestions on where to start?

No solid budget yet, but we're probably looking around $150 max. I don't think we'll need to spend that much because they need to be very simple.

We got our uniforms from Varsity for $145 and the girls love them, but GTM is also a good place for uniforms for a lower price

I'm going to have to check out varsity again because we didn't see anything we liked for under $175

I ordered some GTMs in college and they were lookin mighty ragged after about a year and a half of regular wear. If you're going to replace your unis in two years I'd order GTM, but if they have to last for more than that I'd order from Varsity.

We use varsity and they look very nice and seem to be wearing very well.

Yeah, I definitely agree, you pay for what you get with GTM

Our rec league used Varsity again this season and we've had a lot of problems with the fit. The skirts were way too tight on a good portion of our girls, including sizes from super thin to large. The skirts were also very high waisted and the tops were cut short. The size samples were not shaped like the uniform we received, so don't know if that was part of the problem or not. Last year, the body liners had arms that were long, past the hands, and way too tight for some of the girls to even slide their arms through. Hopefully, you won't have these problems if you choose Varsity.

Would it be possible to fundraise the money? I know a lot of teams that have talked with their schools to fundraise money for the extra cost of uniforms then see if a local company or school alumni will match whatever you fundraised. You can also take the cost down by having the girls order their own accessories (through you of course). So the school would pay for the Shell and Skirt while the girls themselves will buy the crops and shoes, crops and shoes can be reused not to mention sharing crops is gross anyways.

Unfortunately fundraising isn't an option. We only but the shell and skirt. I'm pretty sure that the money is there, we just need to convince them to open the creaky wallets :)

@dowgshow Really look at the packaged uniforms. It's truly amazing how you can customize the options. I showed my rep a picture of a uniform I liked and said this is our budget. She was able to take one of the $80 package uniforms, customize the braiding and coloring and made the $80 package uniform look the exact same as another uniform earlier in the catalog that was around $170. After tax, shipping and our custom digitized logo our uniform was under $120 a piece. If we had gone with different lettering we would have been under $100. With creativity you can get those package uniforms to really work for you and get that look you want!

We had GTM once. Great customer service. Good temporary uniform quality. Not good for long term upholding. I also HATED that the lettering isn't the same size on every unform. Especially with younger age groups when the sizes can range a lot.

Sounds like a bad rep. All those issues should have been fixed when yall tried them on, and its the reps job to make sure you try on uniform samples like the ones you will be ordering! Have you tried to get them fixed? The reps have a budget to get corrections made. If they know you're not happy and will go somewhere else they will usually do a lot to keep your business!

AScheer. Thanks we'll look into that option. These uniforms need to last for many years so it sounds like Varsity may be our best option.
