So with the new rule about being released from gym A to gym B, what happens if a team got a paid bid with unreleased athletes??? Are they allowed to replace them for worlds??? And why mid season would you take on a worlds level athlete without a release in hand??? Very confused

If you get a paid bid with unreleased athletes you will have to replace them under the alternate/substitution rules or get the release. As to why someone would do it? Well to each his own...some are more concerned about the spotlight vs setting the example and doing the right thing. If more people would focus on setting the example or getting involved in the process vs "bucking it" we would have less problems and waste less time trying to create rules for the 20 percent of the people who cause 80 pecent of the problems...

Thanks that makes since:)

Its probably going to be very interesting at worlds when teams get disqualified for having unreleased athletes, or kids on teams that are too old past 18 or still 11 years old by the August 31st deadline...

If a team uses illegal kids, I hope they do get disqualified.

me too, has it ever actually happened at worlds...? Wouldn't be surprised if issues arise due to the release thing this year.
