Have you guys heard about YCADA? They're taking the steps toward creating a universal governing board for Youth Cheer and Dance.

YCADA - Youth Cheer and Dance Alliance

Hopefully this is something that can grow and be used all over the US! They also have good training tools for new rec/youth coaches.

As of right now it is through Pop Warner, but you don't have to be a Pop Warner coach to take the courses and I know that JAMZ uses these rules for their competitions too. Hopefully it will spread to other competitions too, or even help create Rec only competitions to avoid the all star teams even showing up. JAMZ has a Youth only Nationals for only Rec teams and it's such a great environment for the teams there, they cater to what the Rec teams need and have a great score sheet for them. They tried to do an East Coast nationals last year, but it they had to cancel it for lack of participation.
