Does anyone know if there is a video of the announcers actually calling SE in 10th and the crowd reaction?
I know there is a video of the aftermath but none of them actually calling it wrong

******broadcast not found. It was there Tuesday when I listened to it.

Personally I am ashamed that we have to even qualify our posts on this subject by saying we aren't throwing shade, don't have a dog in the fight, don't care who wins, my athlete is not at that level, has aged out, I don't coach, etc. That shows me too many of us regardless of our connection to this sport have lost sight of what is really important. This was an unsafe situation for all regardless of ethnicity, color of uniform, reputation in the cheer world, chance for a ring or whatever. Kids lives were at stake and you took a chance on it for $$$ and ratings. Kids could of stopped it. Parents could of stopped it. Coaches could of stopped it. Officials could of stopped it. Disney could of stopped it. Nobody did. That is the greatest tragedy of this event, not who hit, not who didn't, not who won lost or should of got a do over. Yes I agree some people need to lose their jobs over this at USASF/Varsity. But we also have to question ourselves and ask what have we allowed ourselves to become that we would even take a chance competing on a surface like that? JMO.

Good thing you are not allowed to stunt in front of the ESPN Globe thing outside but then they have a wet floor for large senior and all other floors covered in bobby pins. Over here staff always make sure there is no problem with the floor , and there is nowhere near as much money involved

alright im gonna just come out and say it cause it drives me nuts. Do i agree that USASF are idiots for making those teams compete in those conditions, absolutely. But i cant stand poor sportsmanship, it really grinds my gears. CEA as whole needs to learn how to take a loss more graciously, the amount of garbage ive seen on social media is ridiculous, and i aint gonna lie i follow quite a bit of girls from the other large senior teams on twitter, but the majority of it has come out of cea and quite a bit out of stingrays.

ill always love an underdog win, so f5 winning is amazing, along with all the other teams that won worlds this year. The top teams arent always going to win worlds, people just need to start to realize this as worlds progress and more teams become more seasoned and experienced. The days of CEA, CA, TG, Stingrays always walking away with multiple wins in every division every year i think will slowly diminish as time goes on. Im not saying that these programs arent great, cause they are and always will be, but i cant see them dominating the divisions every year like they use to.

I don't follow many athletes on twitter, but I have yet to see any shade thrown at F5 - in fact I see many people congratulating them and commending them for hitting when they needed to. In fact the only thing I have seen that has been out of line is one Twisters parent (I am assuming) making a complete idiot out of himself with what sounds like steroid induced tirades. I see a lot of complaints about the conditions during large all girl and IMO, they have every right to complain. Nothing gets fixed if everyone buries their heads in the sand and is afraid to speak out about it.

I agree with you to an extent, I have seen SE stuff on twitter.. however they aren't attacking other teams.. They are attacking USASF for a poorly run competition. CSP as also tweeted congrats to other teams including F5.
Somewhere on here someone wrote something about how CSP tried to go up to F% coaches and she got rejected.

The bolded part is what I agree with, teams are coming up out of the woodworks and I love it !

The biggest question I have is, IS ANYTHING GOING TO GET DONE SO THIS DOESN'T HAPPEN AGAIN?

Last month my cp had a teammate vomit on the stage twice, I saw our coach tell a staff member(the one that's on stage to usher the kids off when done) that one of the girls had vomited on the stage, she told her as our team was making their way off the mat, you would think they would stop and clean it up right? NOPE!! They let the next team go on [emoji15][emoji33] it was so nasty, those poor girls had to perform with vomit on the mat, one girl came off the mat upset because she got it all over her hands [emoji35]

What is the "garbage" that's being said? I rarely use twitter now so I'm just wondering what you're referring to.

I'll agree with @quitthedrama though, theres a difference between attacking other teams out of jealousy and attacking USASF out of frustration for the situation they put these kids in. They have every right to attack USASF. If it is the latter, I don't think that's poor sportsmanship.

These kids aren't mad that they didn't win. They are mad because of the situation the their governing body put them in and that the governing body doesn't seem to care.

All right... I have purposefully been quiet here for the last few days to get a little perspective, research, information, and celebrate. In that time I have seen and heard some awful comments from gyms, athletes, and parents. I have encouraged my CP to ignore most of them and to believe NONE of them. Here is my .99 cents (more than 2 cents BECAUSE I WAS ACTUALLY THERE)
1) For the last 3 years this part of the competition has gone past 11pm. Two years ago, we referred to a Worlds Day 4. If the lateness of the hour bothered ANYONE, they should have spoken up BEFORE they competed. And food for thought...why is it suddenly bothering
gyms this year vs past years?
2) It was NOT "soaking, slightly, partially" wet on the mat. If it had been, ALL of the athletes would have had wet uniforms WHEN THEY SAT FOR AWARDS. There was some moisture on the red boundary from what I saw. AGAIN...why are you on the boundary??? The shoes might have been "soaking" wet because athletes were running all over the grass after their performance. I was PERSONALLY walking on the mat after awards and IT WAS NOT WET.
3) There were 3 owners/coaches who declined recompeting the next day. I know this for a FACT. One of those owners/coaches actually greeted us upon our arrival at our hotel with HUGE congratulations along with their parents later that night. Love that gym and their classy athletes, parents, and owners.
4) Those same coaches may have posted different feelings on SM later, but that was AFTER THE AWARDS. So perhaps those coaches/owners might have thought things were going to turn out differently.
5) If LAG were going to recompete then it was already being discussed that LCO would have to as well, as they had multiple issues on multiple teams.
I will now end with this...all of those teams were AMAZING! It is a HUGE honor to be in the same realm let alone to win against any of them. At the end of the day F5 had less deductions than the others. As for the comments on their "low raw score"....it would be the lowest BECAUSE THEY WENT FIRST among the Big 5. This phenomenon happens every year with comparable scoring. It was really sad seeing some coaches/athletes looking for ANY REASON to recompete because it wasn't their day. This division has ALWAYS been one that "whoever hits, wins".

Not trying to start any form of argument here, but there have been multiple complaints about the competition running past 11 pm in the last several years that this has been taking place. Whether or not the USASF has addressed those complaints, they have been made. As for the floor. When athletes FROM SEVERAL TEAMS document that the floor is indeed wet, stated that they told coaches and the spotters the floor was wet, and said athletes were seen slipping/and wiping off their shoes, I'm going to take their word and assume the floor was wet. Once again, no offense to you, or to F5 for hitting. I commend them completely, but saying that. Evidence by MULTIPLE sources had presented that the floor was wet. This isn't an issue of a team being bitter and not hitting. This is a safety concern and should be taken seriously as such. If it was just one team complaining, maybe my view would change, but members and coaches of several teams have spoken on the wet floor. So IMO I don't think anyone is trying to use this as an excuse because they didn't hit.

Thanks @Fiercecheermom for some clarification.

It's interesting that they would have had both divisions re-compete, but it makes sense too. However, is that them acknowledging that the conditions were bad from the beginning and that the first division up was also negatively impacted? Did coaches from those gyms also issue a complaint?

No athlete should have to go on the floor with wet shoes. If the area behind the mat was wet and athletes were forced to wait there, then that's not cool either. I never thought that the mat was soaking wet (like puddles) but there has to be some explanation for why athletes were trying to wipe their shoes off.

As for social media, I wouldn't be surprised if athletes bash USASF. As long as other teams aren't slammed, I'm okay with people being upset that they lost.
