i dont remember seeing a turnout number for tryouts in here or anywhere else for the columbus location. did it over-exceed your expectations or was it just about how you thought it would turn out?

It was around 200, which was about in the middle of our expected range. Nothing is ever guaranteed, but much like Charlotte, we will not be surprised if this is well over 300 in 2-3 years. I fully expect the CA Columbus staff to create a bunch of very happy athletes and parents over the next few seasons. Because of that, we have built some room for growth into the "Clawosseum".

Clawesome! Clawngratulations on your success thus far.

Yes. I am waiting until the calls are done, then I will post a chart with all teams from all locations.
I believe we have called (at least made multiple attempts to call) every athlete at this point. At minimum, all divisions have appeared on social media by now. (A=Austin, C=Charlotte, F=Frisco, O=Columbus, P=Plano)

We have not finalized the name for the Plano IOSC6 team. We may add other teams - perhaps as soon as a couple of weeks. Why people wait until after tryouts to show an interest in being on a team is a little beyond me, but we will try to make it work when possible. (Good problem to have, but still an issue.)

Rough evaluation/tryout numbers (as of 2 days ago) for regular teams.

Plano: 900
Charlotte: 360
Austin, Frisco, Columbus: 200

These are numbers of unique athletes who paid/registered for tryouts. (EDIT: There may be a few athletes who registered in both Plano & Frisco and would count in both numbers.) These are not final roster numbers, as some people will decline their positions (traditionally between 5-10%) and other athletes are still coming in seeking spots on teams. Those tend to roughly cancel each other out, but nothing is certain.

Notes of interest to me:

Our expansion gyms are all years ahead growth-wise of our original gym's pace
Charlotte is larger after 2 years than Plano was in it's 14th season (2007)
We have selected 1800+ athletes on 75 or so teams with maybe 5 crossovers total.
For the first time, Plano represents less than half of the total athletes in the program.

Thanks for the extra stats. I'm a numbers person and love to see this kind of analysis. I find it really interesting. Congrats on the growth of the business! You guys are definitely doing something right!
