She's missing 2018 Pacific Rim, I don't know if that has anything to do with it but it's a pretty big Senior Elite comp for gymnastics.
Is she still trying to get to the Olympics? Has she qualified for the elite level (if I have that right) I don't know too much about gymnastics but it seems like too much to be doing elite gymnastics and all star cheer at the same time.

It certainly shouldn't be used as an example.
Who is shaming? I just said I do not applaud it. If anything, I side-eye the parent. Not the kid.
im just not big on judging anyones decision, unless we know the full blown medical history of her injury. She chose to compete, they allowed, the end.
also ive competed on a broken bone and a few sprains in my life and 10=15 years later i didnt have any permanent effects. Plus she aint the first athlete to compete on an injury at worlds, and she wont be the last.

If they overlap the awards ceremonies, which they will, I wonder if the announcer will mix up the team names and divisions. "And our bronze medal in the SMIOC6 goes to 'Ice Lady Lightning'"

Yeah I'm so far out of touch with women's gymnastics. I didn't know if it was something she would have to qualify for or if you just signed up and went.
I haven't really been following gymnastics too much this year cause of work, but USA Gym selects the athletes that will represent Team USA for Pac Rims. I don't think Laney has been invited to any of the recent national team camps and I'm not even sure if she's still seriously training.

anyways, I was not kidding when I said today would be one of the least productive - I have not gotten a single thing done

Just watched blackops and all I can say is wow!! Knock on wood but I think they have this in the bag. I was scared to rank them first in my bracket because I was afraid it would jinx them but wow! I can easily see them being back to back world champs
