I have a video! It's from my phone though so it may not be the best quality and my phone is dead. I am still about an hour and a half away from home so once I get back I'll upload it!

Do you have any other teams? Heat? Pro?

Rumor on the street had it that The competition company INVITED Top Gun and paid for hotel and waived comp fees for Top Gun to come up. They were just responsible for flights/travel. I guess a few of the kids told this to people at the competition. I don't think anyone is mad at Top Gun for it, nor should they. It comes down to the competition company. I got SEVERAL phone calls from coaches there this weekend about shady things the judges were saying and doing.

What EP wouldn't want Top Gun representing them at Worlds....especially one as small and unknown as Xtreme Spirit? I have a feeling even if they marked the entire routine they would have been awarded the paid bid.

Does it really matter what company represents what team? Does it bring them more revenue? I wouldn't think so. As a coach or owner, I am not going to sit down and pick my competition schedule based on who gets bids from where. Is it more of a bragging right amounts EP's? From the sounds of it, Top Gun would have gotten the paid bid after killing it today. But yesterday, after Day 1, it sounded like everyone was upset with placements. What about the loyal customers who have kept this company in business year after year. And why shouldn't other gyms been offered free comp fees and free hotel to come up? Why even have them compete? Just cancel the comp and give money to Top Gun. I would be pissed if I was forking out hotel and flights for my teams to compete there for a chance for a bid only to find out they 'hosted' a big name team to represent them..... My parents would be pissed I picked a political competition.

If those things are true, it's truly a shame for that company do such things. I'm sure this will only make things worse for that company, especially after people got mad from what happened last year.

Im hypothetically speaking as I said... It was word on the street.

I also heard about the invitation to top gun from the company. If this is true, shame on the competition company. A gym in our area went to this competition to get a bid and wisconsin is pretty far so i'm sure that it was not cheap for them to compete here. I would not be happy if i found out that a team was basically already guaranteed a bid when people are spending all this money to go to this competition just to get a bid.

seriously there is not one video up on here ? i know everyone of you that were at that competition were video taping top gun! put it on here!!!!!<3

i think it creates exposure for the event in general, which can cause attendance to grow. if an organization with a representation like TG goes to this competitoin, that gives off the impression that it is a good event and owners may consider taking teams there the following season. i think the EPs goal is obviously to get more big names there... it was only 4-5 years ago when BATC was considered a low budget national, and now it's one of the biggest on the east coast (more teams have been coming, more money made, more bids given out).

Lame. It was EXPECTED they would get a bid if they hit. Its TOP GUN and the execution on skills performed is near perfect. Congrats..now videos PLEASE! :) I wanna see long lost friends competing. kthnxbye

Despite what people are making up, this isn't true!
