I've actually heard, "I can't tumble, I whipped my hair too hard".
I know its a bad excuse, but a kink in your neck hurts!!!

I have food poisoning. This was on Sunday and practice was Tuesday.

i actually had a girl on my team a long time ago that was pregnant. she essentially faked a mental block and absolutely would not tumble for anything.

my coach found out and she got kicked off.
we were an open team, so its not like she was 16, but still.

thats pretty dumb for her to do cause they would eventually find out she was getting extremely big... haha!

once at choreography practice, we had to warm up tumbling after our lunch break and i said i couldnt tumble because i was too full.
i really was full, but what kind of excuse is that? makes me shake my head when i think about it now.

But lunch chunks on the mat is so hard to clean up....
This is one reason why we go hard til lunch/break at choreo camp then the rest of the day they can mark tumbling.

a girl on my team didn't want me to back with her (shes a base) because she wanted one of the two boys to do it so she didn't have to do as much work.

she got stuck with the freshman flyer and gets kicked, punched, clawed and elbowed EVERY practice.... it makes me laugh

The whole pregnant while cheering is serious. We had a girl on our international team on the old gym I cheered for was pregnant and we all knew she was and she kept denying it and saying she was getting fat but the bigger she got the baggier her shirts got. Her uniform barely fit anymore. Finally our coach sat her down privately for the truth.... It's dangerous to cheer after your 3 months pregnant.

last year on my high school team ( i wasnt on the team but a girl on the team who is also on my all star team had told me this ) a girl pierced her belly button in the school bathroom and when she got to practice she told the coach that she had thrown up the night before and couldnt practice .... the coach found out a few days later and freaked out and kicked her off the team
