Just so everyone knows I'm not bashing the team..I've seen amazing youth 2's, I'm probably going to be coaching one this season....it was the fact that they're trying to make them look like youth 2 is a top level

So my power went out last night 10 minuets in to the first running of the episode and stayed off until after the second one....did anyone ever find it on line? (because I can't:oops:)

Exactly.. Although the show is a bit dramatic not athletes will have the required tumbling to make a specific level. Same reason why varsity is using the 75% rule on scoresheets. Not all kids will progress in tumbling at the same rate.

Honestly, I tried out for my college team with a forward roll. And it's one of the worst, most embarassing things you can do, I was terrified of being asked to show my tumbling. I got spotted on handsprings, and was asked to do something on my own just like Brooke. I've never been a tumbler and I never will be one, but I'm a good level 6 stunter and made the team and competed NCA College Nationals for 4 years.

There's nothing wrong with executing whatever tumbling you have. She obviously wasn't going to do a back walkover or back bend with her injury and I don't think we should be making fun of her for it.

Has anyone found the full episode online? I didn't record the show but now I want to at least see everything that you all are talking about...

I was out of the house last night and frantically texted my 14 year old to DVR the show because I forgot it was on. Got home at about 11pm and watched the whole thing...lol
It was craziness but honestly nothing I haven't seen before in this sport. I think Olivia's mom is supposed to be the "Holly" of this group. She was normal cheer mom crazy, any mom out there would love for the child to be a flyer...it seems they tried to give her a crazy edge but it didn't work because the other moms were so psycho crazy.
I liked RD...he reminded me a lot of the owner of AZ Heat and seemed to be more knowledgeable of the sport then his wife. I loved the part where she was talking about picking the team and basically got shut down over it being "her team" and that he was still going to oversee it.
Forward roll girl...boy is her mom in denial. Honey your child is not a cheerleader, she's 13 and hasn't progressed past level 1...cut the ties and let her play or do something that she wants to do and can be good at!
Alana...poor sweet Alana...she just kept smiling the whole tryout even though she was scared. She has her bhs on a cheese mat!!! That is not "having" your BHS. It took my cp six months to get from cheese to floor, the fact that they made her do it was ridiculous. I actually cringed when she came down on her head...and then for her mom to berate her in front of everyone there and the camera because she didn't throw it??? WTF? She didn't throw it because she didn't have it to begin with!
I think the scene that most ticked me off was when Torann decided to drop her flyer and told the whole group to "let her fall". I couldn't tell if she really did do it on purpose or the producers told her to say it, she looked a little confused when RD was yelling at her. If she didn't do it and was told to say that, that is pretty messed up on the show's part. If she did do it and admitted to it...most coaches I know would have bounced her from the gym.

The forward roll girl, Brooke I think, said on twitter that she's been on level 2 for a few years, so I'd say that bit was definitely scripted.

Well that was a fail. Poor team doesn't realize their music is stuck in year 2000 and so are their jump sets. Gives off the rec. vibe like crazy.
