I think the biggest thing that impressed me of aces were the flyers lines in the air and the kick up, and the dance.

the routine overall was a little messy in my eyes. but they always get cleaner as the season progresses. they're off to a good start!

My eyes legit hurt from attempting to watch that... I didn't even know they made videos that low quality any more. 140? Really...?


Somehow, I made out a two man double up and then double ups from preps (we saw a glimpse of that this summer). Dying.
I'm SUCH a LL fan. It'll be war between them and Generals in my opinion (excited to see them in a quality video and how other [cough hiccup Lady Bullets] respond to what's being thrown this early).

Like the dance...but jumps and tumbling. Saw a few ankle scares in there..

Extremely awkward floor at that competition. Almost seemed to be "slippery" (and i competed on it earlier in the day). I was slipping in handsprings!! Usually their tumbling is extremely confident and well executed, especially at their first few competitions.

I feel the same way about arabesques where the flier's leg isn't directly behind them in the air, and is slightly off to the side to make it appear higher. I was always told I looked like a dog at a fire hydrant when I did that. I also am not too fond of when fliers drop their chest super low to create the illusion of a higher arabesque.

On the subject of arabesques I want to post this.

Hands down my favorite team/routine from this season so far.
I just have a hard time watching them kick double down from the stunt.. I love the idea of it but I feel like most of the flyer's technique was not pretty to watch.

I hate arabesques that look like this...I would rather her chest be up more with a lower leg. It just looks so awkward to me.

I will say, it's pretty big to have your pyramid song be 'Wrecking Ball.' You'd better hit like it's going out of style..

I'm VERY late to this.. But At my last competition a Canadian team (PCT Cobras) did their pyramid to Wrecking Ball, and nailed it. I LOVED it. But there was a lot of people who didn't like it, but I personally loved it. And they had ball ups when it said wrecking ball, I thought it was great..I'm pretty sure that wasn't their level five, worlds team though.
