I don't really have too much to say, because i'm on #teammamarazzi, she said it better than i can.

Just two things:
Should the autor of the article do better research? Yes. Is she right on the fact that it is crazy that people go wild over the fact that a teenage couple broke up? Hm, i'd say yes.

Second:
I'm a little nervous where this will lead to? Is she going to monitor all "cheerleabs" instagram, twitter and facebook accounts to find more "dirt", write more articels about minors and blow stories up?

I guess here we have a perfect example of the dangers of putting too much of your private life out there on social media. Especially as a well known minor (no matter for what you are well known). Everyone can go and screenshot all these pictures, tweets and comments and make a story out of it, true or not.

I'm not sure how over-glamorized the college teams will end up becoming. Think about Maddie Gardner... she went to college and you don't hear about her team very often, if at all. It will be interesting to see what happens because alot of those girls will be aging out within a year or two of eachother. And who knows, maybe they'll in all-star and just compete for IOC5 or level 6 teams. My guess would be that everyone will just move on to the next crop of "current" infamous cheerlebs

This is exactly what will happen. Exactly like every other year.

First, some people will probably wine about the fact that "the team is just not the same without *insert cheerleb name here*........... :(:(:(". But then, I think they'll move on to new cheerlebrities as well.

At a certain point, most cheerlebrities realize that there is more to life than cheerleading and move on. That's when we see them "fall off the face of the earth," like Kelsey R., Juliet from SE, Taylor from SE (can't even remember her last name?). I think it comes with maturity.

ETA: I don't think that college teams will ever become over-glamorized because of the change that happens to most cheerlebrities when they hit college. No one gives a crap that you're instafamous when you're at a big university.

To that point, there are several people that drive me up the wall because they demonstrate clear immaturity. I've always thought that if you're out of HS and you're still living the cheerlebrity lifestyle, you need to reevaluate your priorities. If you're still a cheerlebrity at age 23, it's probably because you never grew up.

I can think of one *ahem* wanna be cheerleb in particular (that is in her 2nd year of college I believe?) and the things she posts on instagram remind me of something a 12 year old would post. We don't need to see video montages of you doing your hair and makeup every day...

Lol. I think I know exactly who you're talking about. But I like her instavideos of her doing back tucks in random places.

YES. This drives me nuts. No. One. Cares. There's one in particular that really irks me and my kids will occasionally say "so and so is sooo fierce, awesome, pretty, etc." It takes everything in my to bite my tongue.
