no matter what none of us will ever know what happened between Amber and CEA. Team Amber will keep on telling their story, Team CEA theirs. What really happened, no one knows besides the people who were there. I don't like how people get all angry and mad at either one of the two (or three if you count jenee in aswell) because like i said, you don't know what happened and you never know how people perceive things. Ambers mom made a decision to go public with this statement, that is her decision. Jenee switched to SE , that is her decision too. As much as i enjoy reading through all these pages for entertainment purposes i feel like we should refrain from saying bad things about either one of the persons involved because again, we do not know what happened.

Info from CEA Coach Sarah's ask.fm because I feel like it would clear up a couple of questions in this thread :

  • CEA knew for a couple of weeks the Jenee was going to be coming to their gym

  • Jenee was coming to CEA before Amber quit

  • Amber P told the coaches via text that she was quitting. The coaches were sent a screenshot of the instagram statement that Amber made and that was it.

  • Jenee's sister Jaiden has not been placed on a team at CEA yet, but might be soon

  • The CEA coaches found out this week that Amber was quitting

  • There were no alternates who were flyers available for SE/CE/LE

  • Jenee was going to be on Medium Coed or IOC5 from CEA Charlotte before the SE spot became available.

  • Jenee then tried out for SE.

  • Jenee wanted to switch teams. CEA are on good terms with Cali and they worked together to make the transition

  • The coaches (or at least sarah) are very unaware that Taylor M was looking to be on a CEA team. As far as they knew she was in FL. Little contact had been made. They hope they haven't made her upset.

Did Amber's mom make an official statement of sorts? Can someone post if its not inappropriate language, I have no idea who her mother is on twitter.

Can't...let...go...

Am I the only one that doesn't understand the Illinois references? I hate missing out on things lol

This is an excerpt from CSP's loooooong Facebook post she put up just prior to NCA where she talked in general terms about SE and then spoke to them individually. I've never seen a coach who not only knows everyone of her kids this well but takes the time to give them the most public support possible (let's face it, anything she posts is pretty public).

We made the change to CEA this year and all three of my kids teams are coached by Courtney. Yes it's been a difficult transition for my younger less confident cp, but she's already a much stronger athlete for having Courtney as her coach.

I was, and will continue to be, impressed by her dedication and love of her athletes...amber included:

I have no problem with a parent making their issues with the gym public. If that's what you feel is necessary to protect others, go right ahead. But I do have a problem with the way it was done. It's just immature to go argue with teenagers on Instagram. I roll my eyes when teenagers argue with each other on Instagram, but when an adult jumps in? Come on.... Say your piece and be done with it - but not on Instagram. Post to your parent friends on Facebook or the general cheer world on fierceboard. The only people who read through every comment on these cheerlebrities instagrams are the crazy fans, and you know they're not gonna change their mind

One big difference between this and the SOT thread...my kid, Tuan's kid, any kid that left Spirit would be welcomed back tomorrow with open arms because we didn't go on a major social network and bash the owners. Heck my kid went to an open gym a few months ago and one of the owners jumped over a bush to get to her to give her a hug. In our case it was a matter of different strokes for different folks. How her mother decided to handle it made all the difference. Then arguing with a teenager...who is the adult?!
This is not tiny 1 with popscicles and hugs after every practice. Worlds is the closest thing teams have to an Olympic setting and its high pressure. EVERYONE IS REPLACEABLE. Spirit has brought in the whole restricted 5 team and some level 4's to sit in front of medium coed when they practiced. The message was "Any one of these kids would love to take your place on the mat because they have that fire...now find yours." CA has done the same thing.
I would love for my cp to have a coach like CSP. Yes she's hard on them but she also does things like the Facebook post picking each of the 36 and telling them something wonderful about themselves....yeah bullies do that.
