If what FAME have done and branch out to a different country is successful would Cheer athletics ever consider opening a gym in the uk? Or for an affiliated camp to come to the uk there are alot of cheerleaders who would love help with their tumbling here in the uk

How come CA never have youth 5 team? I dobut there's not enough talent to have one.
We have in the past. Lately, there haven't been enough total athletes at that age and ability level at tryouts to form competitive teams at Youth AND Junior 5. That is in part due to our reluctance to put athletes on teams above their actual ability level and our limited use of crossovers.

Do you forsee any potential for further expanding (other locations) in NC?

We haven't set our future expansion plans yet. We would consider opening nearly anywhere that makes sense from a business point of view. However, we don't want to expand faster than we feel we can handle it. 1 gym a season seems like a reasonable pace at this point, but that certainly isn't set in stone.

It has been hinted at in a different thread that tanned kids may get better choreography placement than those with fairer skin.

Seems like an odd policy but If any truth can you explain the rationale of it?

Stop laughing, I'm serious. Please send more money

That isn't our policy.

The only rationale I can think of would be that there is a visual balance element to formations and choreography/routine placement. Height, hair color, and I suppose skin tone would be considerations in some instances. You generally don't want a 6' tall girl directly opposite a 4' 3" girl in a dance if you can avoid it. If someone has a very unique "look" (very tall, blue hair, only male, extremely fair skinned, etc.) then you usually either want them dead center or perhaps not highlighted at all.

That doesn't mean that there is a specific advantage in choreography to being tall or short (or light or dark), just that you want the "picture" to balance. Whether that would "help" you or not would depend on the circumstance.

There is MUCH more to determining placement than appearance, obviously. Where the athlete would be coming from in the previous formation would be much more important in nearly every case. I also think that parents and athletes assign more value to "who is towards the front" than most coaches do. We tend to be much more concerned with getting people in and out of stunts/pyramids/baskets without chaos than making sure that Suzy is in front of Sally because she performs the dance .01% better.

Please don't tell Suzy's mom she actually IS 0.1 better than Sally!! She'll never stop in the parent room after that!

Try clicking on the little icon on the top right. It's a small box of 3 horizontal lines. That will open the menu to the right.

i did and the menu opens for a second then immediately closes
That's always done that to me too on iPhone or iPad. I either have to put the address in after the / to bypass it or get to it from a desktop. You can't click on the pop up from the menu button before it closes again.
