I think it's something that has to do with one of their coaches who sales it or something. So he brings it to the athletes to promote I guess. So yes salsa, however I don't think all her teenage followers ran to their mom and said I want this salsa.

Now maybe if she promoted it and said I'll give an autograph pic to everyone who does then she may have generated the coach some revenue off it then lol

the screen-shotted version that was making fun of them showed up on my twitter feed with an awful lot of negativity surrounding it/CA. who knew salsa was so controversial? i know some of the more famous cheerleaders get $ to promote random products, but they usually do it on their own time. this being a group of athletes inside the gym with something non-cheer related struck me as odd, but whatever. thought i'd ask.

I PM'ed it to you since they're all probably minors.

i get the advertisements/endorsements when it comes to cheer related things. the salsa just really threw me for a loop LOL

I have never heard of it and don't know anything about it. We will talk to those athletes today.

Oh I agree with you as it is just odd. Lol

Wasn't it Pace picante sauce?

Feeling infamous today and laughing at some absurd statements spoken here and there

Yep you're right. And I forgot about the lynching reference at the end.

Forgot that part too. Think we both just watched the same videos.

Didn't they make their own studio or something? My friend was a part of your dance athletics program and she said they have their own studio now (illustr8tive studios, I think). One of the choreographers or teachers was on sytycd. I think his name is Jordan Johnson? he's an amazing dancer

It is a long story, but basically, yes - Jordan left to start his own studio. A few months later, he had some differences with his financial backer and lost access to that building.

We enjoyed most aspects of having a dance program, but it was never profitable. Essentially, every other part of CA Brands was booming and the "dance room" is better off being be used for other stuff. (Pro shop, camps, cheer classes, etc.)

@BlueCat , how do you handle vacation schedules for athletes? Is there a limit to how many athletes could miss, especially during the summer? Also, how are these vacations communicated to the coaches?

There isn't a specific limit for summer practices. I believe that the either the coach or team rep collects all of the scheduled vacations from the athletes early in the season and compiles the list for the team coaches. They then use that list, in part, to schedule choreo, camps, etc. It isn't a perfect system, but we make it through.
