This.

Also, I've always felt like it was the straps around the abdominal region that made it appear a little "too much" for people. Without the straps and voilà:

I wonder whether they'll be keeping any of their uniforms from last season..... I guess we'll find out at Cheersport.
I still think it looks dumb to have a crop top with connected side panels but no middle. I agree it looks better without the straps but I'm still wouldn't say I like it.

The Synergy one doesn't really look like a TG one but it does look like the Flyers Allstars? One from worlds. It was pink and black. I would upload a pic but my phone is being dumb.

Huh??? I don't remember Flyers to have a uniform like that? We are talking about Flyers All Starz from Montréal???

I was thinking of this uniform in comparison with the Synergy one (not that I think they are the same, but I do agree Synergy was probably trying to mirror TG with their uniform). It was 2011/2012 I believe, and there were several wardrobe malfunctions and a lot of discussion regarding the uniform.

I think people are saying it's Top Gun-esque because of the colors and general design being something they most likely would come up with, even Lady Jags had a similar back, not because they have a uniform exactly like it. When I see something kinda crazy looking and black and yellow, it automatically reminds me of TG.

it's just a uniform get for over it. you guys are making fun of kids by saying that they look like prostitutes and making really rude jokes it's just a uniform trying to be modern and out there get over it and move on

hmmm, wonder which gym you're from. NO ONE is talking about the kids themselves. its discussion about a uniform. in a uniform thread. on a discussion board. salty?

Technically nobody said anything about the kids. They said the UNIFORMS looked something like prostitutes would wear not that the kids looked like them. Just sayin'
IMO, there are plenty of other ways to have a modern looking uniform.

i don't cheer at synergy allstars but i know people and the owner at some level yes it's hurts little because of it and some people were making of the shorts being to small to jump with and how their embarrassed for them

no one is "making fun" of the shorts, merely commenting on the lack of inseam. I have longer pairs of underwear. I wouldn't want to do a toe touch in those shorts because I would be self conscious that all my bits were out for the world to see. I wouldn't want to raise my arms too high because my bra and/or underboob would be out for the world to see. I would be so busy worrying about exposing myself that I probably would not be able to perform 100%. that's a problem. You can love the kids and owners all you want, that uniform is not practical. you cannot convince me that it is.

If their uniform inhibits them from doing something so basic as jumps, then this warrants discussion.
The uniform lacks functionality and was clearly created for shock value.

I am sorry if you feel like we are attacking the kids but we aren't. We are here to discuss all uniforms. What we are discussing is the fact that the uniform is inappropriate, in our opinions. The athletes have to be able to perform skills and shouldn't be worrying about if their body parts are showing. The person who chose these uniforms obviously wanted to be talked about because there is no way they would not be talked about in those uniforms. As a parent, I would not allow my daughter to wear that uniform at all and I wouldn't pay for it either. And in regards to being compared to Top Guns uniforms, I am pretty sure when all of the uniforms were first worn , most of us on here were critical of the lack of fabric as well as style.

I'm sorry, but SOMEONE obviously need to tell them that is unacceptable attire for a child "modern" or not. No way, no how would my child wear that. EVER. There are apparently several others here that feel the same way. Ultimately it is a BAD business decision that will likely cost them in the long run, simply because parents are going to go elsewhere rather than have there kids dressed like junior hookers.

I AM embarrassed for them. It's the gym owner's responsibility to see to it that the kids take the mat properly covered, and they failed to do that in this case. As I said before, NO WAY would my kid be on the mat dressed like that. Surely someone at that gym had a clue that this was going to be the reaction???
