Hi! I coach a senior rec cheer team and we’re attending a competition next month that has us following the USASF level 3 rules for stunts and pyramids. It’s been a while for me in terms of all-star/competitive cheer, so I just want to make sure nothing I plan on upgrading within our routine is...
Hey friends! Recently moved from Ma to Florida and Im working at Alpha athletics cheer Florida, a new gym in the tarpon springs area! My twin and I coach all 4 teams there, but we are in need of two level three athletes for the 2022-2023 season :) all of our cheer contacts live in the...
Due to the nature of our sport, we have now become a team of 11. I need help with a pyramid that will score well where the middle group will not have a backspot but be the bracing group. (“Flyer“ for this group isn’t actually a flyer 🤣) So basically all the skills will come from the two outside...
So on In July I'm trying out for Allstar cheerleading team I have previously cheered at level 2 but want to move onto level 3.
I can round off back handspring series, I can standing back handspring (I'm close to standing series just need to practise a little bit more), I can punch front and I...
Hello all,
I need help putting together an elite level 3 pyramid for a team of 10, previously we had 3 full groups to work with but that is no longer the case and I am a bit stuck on what to do.
Thank you!
haha dumb question but... Is a 3/4 twist up to 2-leg extension legal for level 3? I know 1/2 up is level 2 and full up is level 4. Just wondering about Level 3. anyway, thanks!
If it is legal, why don't teams do it?
We have to change our pyramid a week before competition because of a girl getting injured. I know we have to have 2 structures and 4 elements. My question, is can we have our center flyer do all 4 elements or do we have to have the 4 elements split between our other flyers?
Our groups were having trouble with the traditional walk in entry to the coed stunt and we created a different way to load in. Will they still receive credit for the stunt or does it have to be only walk in or toss to hands? Thank you. So many rules!
Is the below position legal in L3? The inversion rules get more complicated every year I'm sure.
If it is legal, would it be possible for the bases to throw her feet backwards over the backspot's head and catch in prone? Trying to find ways to dismount.
Thanks!
im on level 3 and i only have a round off bhs tuck and round off tuck :( i'm not very good at round off bhs step outs and i don't have a punch front. I'm working on getting my front walkover solid. we're working on running tumbling choreography and I'm the only one who can't do a punch front or...
Hi all!
This year I will be coaching a level one team instead of my usual level three. While I am getting myself more familiar with the rules and scoring, I was wondering if anyone had any tips for switching over? This will be the first time our organization has ever had a junior 1, and I...
Is this element legal at level 3?
Braced on both sides, connected to base throughout the entire transition.
I thought it was, but I'm second guessing it now.

Hey there! I was wondering, how would a level 3 team do a low to high from heel stretch to stretch, I know a level two team did it from prep to prep, so is it possible for a level three team to do it from low to high? I know usually, from a lib the backspot will grab the ankle of the lib, but...
I just want to check that I am reading into this correctly!-
Level 3 pyramids E.
'Exception: twisting mounts and transitions to extended skills are allowed up to 1 twist. If connected to at least ONE brace at prep level or below and at least one Base.....'
Does this mean that a full up in...
Is a switch up to extension legal on a level 3 team, or do they have to switch up at prep and then press? Also note that it is during pyramid so arm to arm contact is continuous between two flyers, not sure if that matters.
