Rape allegations? Sexual misconduct? Stolen credit cards numbers? Do not take your accusations to twitter. Heck, don’t even take your accusations to USASF, go to the POLICE. Those are crimes.
Verbal abuse by a coach? True abuse? Go to your parents, change gyms, go to the police, report to USASF. Ranting on Twitter solves nothing.
And honestly some of what I read, read like teen drama. So and so was mean to me. My coach got mad and I was embarrassed. And while they are free to heap the allegations on, any comment mentioning that results in perceived victim blaming.
I am not in the all star world. I coach high school where even a tenth of some of these allegations would get me fired. But that doesn’t mean that I haven’t had kids over the years quit because they didn’t get along with teammates or because I benched them and they got mad. In the right Twitter firestorm, those instances could add fuel to a fire that is not there.
Not that I am excusing anything. If any of the criminal allegations are true, they don’t deserve to be coaching. But again, take thee to a police station so they won’t be coaching!
