Definitely cover up with a shirt. Wearing just the tiny amount more of fabric that a shirt provides compared to a sports bra won't cause them to die of heat stroke.
I wanted to add that for the girls own comfort and safety, probably should put shirts on. You think you're comfortable walking around in a sports bra until creepy dudes start leering at you. You don't know who the heck is gonna be at this event
Minis maybe. if the sports bras aren't REALLY small. for minis if they are big enough maybe. not for seniors though . its a bad image. & I would feel uncomfortable. maybe a sports bra with a baggy tank top or something.
Based on our society, I don't think it's appropriate to wear sports bras out in public. Unless, you are going to or returning from the gym. I personally don't get bothered by it. I have a child in mini's and it doesn't bother me. But as I said before, society has a different view.
There's no reason a cheerleader ever has to run around in just a sports bra outside the gym.
I honestly don't see why wearing even just a t-shirt over it is such an issue. Even if it's "so hot!" outside, a tshirt should be cool enough to function in. Yes, for seniors, too. It's respectful to your community, even though I know most of you aren't trying to look sexual in a sports bra.
Personally I don't see a huge problem with it for seniors. Mini's I feel like maybe should wear tank tops. The public might disagree with my opinion. I mean it is a modesty issue because so much skin is showing. It might be okay for practice but for a parade maybe tank tops.
If your gym has crop tops, then yes a sports bra is fine for performances. No, I personally do NOT believe children of any age should be allowed to just walk around in sports bras- even at competition. Again, for performances, it is a preference of the coach and I think both crop & full tops (or sports bras & tank tops) are appropriate.
Even more within the last 2-3 years Cheerleading has become a sport with not only hard work but a true look of athleticism. I don't see a problem as long as its worn as a "SPORTS" Bra and not a fashion statement
if it's not okay for a swimmer to wear bikins all the time in public, i don't really think it's acceptable to wear just sports bras out of practice, cheerleader or not, it's kind of just trashy; stingrays doesn't even let you wear just sports bras at practice.
