OMG, I reeaally love me some Alicia Keys music - I think that song is a perfect choice, if you want to describe a young lady being strong, triumphant and fighting for a great cause...Yes!!!

That was exactly when the song was used : the part of the show about her courage and victories and such.

You do realize St. Joan of Arc was executed by being burnt at the stake, yes?

I also love Alicia Keys, and normally think that song is fantastic. Just not in a commemorative piece about A WOMAN WHO WAS BURNT TO DEATH.

Thankfully, the death sequence (and most others) were very tastefully done. The stake in particular was beautiful and so well done that it brought the crowd to almost silence. The coronation of Charles VII was also very nice.

I really don't think they meant that music choice disrespectfully. They were looking for upbeat music that fit the theme somewhat (this one sure does!). Also, many, many things are around the theme of Joan of Arc around here, and most are obviously very serious. Maybe they wanted to add a little humor for once, but it was a risky choice. Since not everybody likes dark humor, I was VERY surprised they used it in such a popular family event.

Question for you: For our birthday, our parents got us a very nice spa package that includes a massage, a facial and a mani/pedi. Our spa day finally takes place this Friday. My question is, how does the tip work? Do I tip each person individually after their service or can I wait and leave one bigger tip at the end? How much do I tip? I have no idea.

Many spas will have tip envelopes available at the front desk - just ask when you check in and they will help. I tip 15-20%.

I agree. It's pretty obvious the pun was intended. I'm not against dark humor at all, but it felt a little out of place. In a comedy or satire style show (something were the clear purpose is to laugh about anything and everything), I wouldn't have minded, but this was weird to me.

Grrr platos closet infuriates me to no end. Brought in 50+ items and they only take one. And the only shirt they took was an American eagle shirt....

Our local franchise is crazy, too...racks full of old, dirty merchandise. I do much better with consignment.

Regular Jacks are 30% off. I ordered some for $177 and got them for $88. Not sure if I would ever get a better deal so I went with it!

But that was all I got from my Prime Day

Is there a way to request a company not ship your order via USPS? I'm sick of them losing my packages. And if they actually manage to get them here they leave them at the post office and tell me I can go pick them up. (But that's only with select packages. Whether or not they deliver it with the rest of my mail just depends on what they feel like that day.) Or sometimes they just leave them at the post office and don't tell me they're there and I have to call and ask why whatever I ordered was "delivered" but hasn't arrived at my house. Like, why so unreliable? I'm usually a super patient person and I understand mistakes happen but this is literally every time I order something.
