I know Dracut has standing fulls on DEAD MAT (amazing!) but look at those MOTIONS in the opening. Love how clean and sharp they are!

They are crazy good! Their coach does my teams choreography and he is just amazing. The team I coach didn't make it to States this year unfortunately, but I heard Dracut scored a 208 out of 210, so just goes to show what a great team they are!

My Alma Mater! Nansemond River High School from Virginia. Absolutely love this team and miss it every day. The results weren't what we hoped for but we left it on that mat! NR4L!

Knowing that Dracut won NCA last year makes me really wish that Virginia schools could go. Some of our schools would do really, really well. Not meant in a negative way for them at all, because they are awesome!

^^^There are a few states that make me feel that way. Ex: I'd love to see some IL and WV schools compete nationally.

Knowing that Dracut won NCA last year makes me really wish that Virginia schools could go. Some of our schools would do really, really well. Not meant in a negative way for them at all, because they are awesome!

How many other states can't go to NCA? Kansas just changed their policy last year so they can go. I thought Kansas was way behind in terms of high schools competing but it's more common than I thought

I am not sure of every single state but I know IL, WV, AZ, VA, and I think MD schools are not allowed to compete beyond their state comps.

There is so much high school talent out there that we don't see because of that.

What do you mean, can't go? I never understand how certain states keep kids from going somewhere?! I know here in Cali we are about to get some new "stips"...but WHY don't they allow they to go certain places is the question?

I can't comment on all states but with Kansas, the high school athletics association wouldn't approve it so we couldn't go. They approved it for the first time ever last year. Dont ask me why they choose last year to approve it or why they wouldn't approve it in the first place.

I guess they have their reasons?! But such a bummer...
