I work for bath and body works so our discount works there and they give us an extra 10% off for christmas. I've been waiting for this for months so i could stock up.That store is dangerous for my wallet! If I could, I'd live in VS sweats and jackets.
And that is some killer saving! It's like Extreme Couponing for VS.
My girls' school is featured on our state high school athletic association page. They won state four years in a row about 10 years ago. Still makes me smile to see it.Am I the only one that thinks it's cool to see your daughters gym on posters and stuff
When you go to the Aca cheer comp page they have like 4 pics that go by... And two of them are of vipers
And then you go to the athletics web page and you see vipers
And the summit pic link right below in the same screeenshot is another picture of a team of our vipers
And at nca nationals they had quite a few uniforms on a hanger but only a couple on a mannequin
And it's our level 5 uniform.
I guess it's just cool because we aren't a big name gym but they select our photos and stuff and idk... I put this in random because I'm pretty sure I'm the only one impressed

That's so weird to me!Is it common for upperclassmen to get meal plans at your school? Here it's just freshmen. And the only people who run out of swipes are fraternity pledges who swipe older guys in all the time. Everyone else is trying to use theirs right now, we have a few places where you can buy like a Gatorade or a Rice Krispie for fractions of meals and they're wiped clean right now. I have 11 days to use 55 swipes and I rarely eat in the dining halls. Swiped in 3 upperclassmen last night and my sister and a friend today, using 12 swipes and still have to use 5 a day to use them all... If only you could send your mooching friends to me!

Every one of our meal plans would have Bonus Bucks, which would be used when your meal when over. Each meal would have a value, like $5.75 for breakfast, $6.75 for lunch or $8.50 for dinner. (That's just an estimate but you get the idea.) Each meal plan would come with a set number of Bonus Bucks. Like, the 15 meals a week plan came with $200 Bonus Bucks. Any time your meal would go over that amount, you could put the rest on your Bonus Bucks, which could only be used for that and never carried over. You could also put it on your Carolina Cash, which was money that could be spent anywhere on campus or places in town that accepted it. Or just pay the overage in regular cash. That's so weird to me!
I think it's pretty common for upperclassmen at my school to get meal plans - ours are pretty complex though.
Freshmen have unlimited swipes for the dining hall
Freshmen have Purple (Pirate) Bucks which can be used at any of the other locations on campus like starbucks, chickfila, panda express, chilis, etc. Does not roll over after freshman year ends.
Upperclassmen have Gold (Pirate) Bucks which can be used at all of those places PLUS any athletic event/venue. I think I get $300 per semester and it rolls over until I graduate.
Then we all have a designated amount of Pirate Meals. Pirate Meals are predetermined meals from each venue and 1 meal = 1 swipe. I think I have about 40 meals per semester. For example, a pirate meal at chickfila is 8 piece nuggets, fries, and a drink. orrrr if you were to go to pirate grill it would be like a grilled cheese, fries, and a drink. Each place has a few different options you can choose from. Its up to you if you want to use a pirate meal (for the predetermined meals) or pirate bucks.
Upperclassmen have to use Pirate Meals to swipe into the dining hall.
The meal plan sucks IMO - it is one of the only complaints I have. I think the Bonus Bucks don't come standard anymore - you have to pay extra. You can only use one swipe per "meal session" and a lot of times class times interfere so you may only be able to eat after 11 and then not again until after 4 and then late night, especially if you are not a morning person. You can only get a pre-determined amount for each swipe (i.e. a burger, fries and a drink is a swipe. If you get onion rings instead of fries, you have to pay extra). If you get a salad and it goes over on protein or weight, you have to pay extra. Portions on the entrees are small. I think that is why a lot of students don't bother with it after freshman year (in addition to most students living off campus after freshman year). If my kid is hungry after a meal, I can't imagine how a 19 year old 6' 200 pound male student is feeling.Every one of our meal plans would have Bonus Bucks, which would be used when your meal when over. After freshman year most people didn't keep their meal plan. Greek kids would go on their house meal plan, and anyone else could just load up on Carolina Cash instead and use that for food on campus.
I agree, I didn't like it. I was glad to switch to my house meal plan. You should consider just going just the Carolina Cash route next year, and you'll probably save money. I want to go to that school just for the meal plan. We never have food at my house and I'm always hungry.. And if we buy food it disappears. LolI guess we have it easy - DS's meal plan is unlimited all-you-can-eat at the dining halls with added flex dollars ($90-400/semester) to use at other restaurants on campus. You can get either a weekday plan or a full week plan. And there's a basic and value option for each of those which changes the amount of flex $. I think he eats about 6 times a day, LOL!
