Depending on your location it honestly may not be worth it to come. Sounds like they are giving out buds to get attendance up. Anyone can register for the event.

Maybe They would have been giving out buds last year in Cali, but that is illegal in DC

It actually is legal--the city voted in 2014 to legalize it. There aren't potshops just yet, but you can grow your own.

@mstealtoyou Baked and Wired's cupcakes are far superior to DC Cupcakes.

We went last year. My cp was on J2. It was a good competition. The girls competed at two different locations. Saturday was down the street from where the level 5s were and then Sunday they competed on the same stage the level 5s were the day before. It was fun for them because they all took the round stage thingy you see in the film before they took the floor. Other than that, it was just a normal competition to me.

I love that the Champions League is so fun for the kids. My CP has had a blast the last 2 years. I agree with Quit that I felt the ATL year was a better experience for me as a parent than LA was but my CP loved them both. It's fun to go with your team to the movie event and relive it again. I also think this year it will be a completely different experience because it's a different city. I'm happy it's drivable to us! I'm happy I'll get to go to DC Cupcakes.

Ex-CP shall never speak to you again if we don't get to come with you to Georgetown on the cupcake excursion!

and yes it says stay to play in event we compete sunday only the rest is fun fri and sat
Pretty much what others have commented. From what I can gather, this year, the regular competition is a "Stay to Play" which means you have to stay in one of the approved hotels in order to compete. Since last year was our first year, I will be interested in seeing how it compares to last year. Seeing California was really a treat. I will say that I just learned this morning that our DC hotel is thinking they are going to charge us $47 to park the car. I think they have lost their minds.

Parking in DC is ridiculous.
