Uh.... Unless they're row M or further back, she's crazy. (What day are the tickets for?)

Ummmm what???

She's crazy. She bought them in December and they're great seats for January 4th... But getting to NYC is $$$$ that she doesn't have so she's going to sell them. My mom is telling her to ask for the travel as a Christmas present but now she regrets only buying two tickets and wants us to be able to go (except she bought the tickets for her and her boyfriend). But like.... You have tickets now so why not go? I'd buy the tickets from her and go except that it would only be fun if she was with me and if she goes with just one other person it'll be her boyfriend not me or my mom. -_-

If she doesn't sell them at an insane price (which I am sure she will) I will gladly buy them from her. My mom wants to go as does my 12 year old. Or better yet, I'll go and give them my April tix :D. And I am completely serious btw.

I will see what she is thinking! She doesn't want to sell them for an insane price because she feels bad, but my dad keeps saying "Welcome to capitalism!!"
I'll update ya!

As long as they're not $1000-12000 each..
I wish I were kidding about the $12000 part.

Getting there is the expensive part, it's true. I was looking into going mid-March, and the cheapest flight I found was $416 Canadian. (Not sure if taxes were included in that.) I might go anyway because I do want to see Dear Evan Hanson and the Great Comet. And the Hamilton cancellation line might not require camping out for 4 days by the !

Seriously! I was looking at resale tickets and was shocked to see the $10,000 price for not even great seats. Trying to figure out what to see next weekend. Last show was finding neverland. Perks of living so close to the city, it's a 40 minute train ride.

I saw Les Mis in April and loved it! We're going back in August to see it again before it closes in September.

The $12000 ones are "only" $8000-9000 now. But only for the 8pm show, because it's Lin/Leslie/Philipa's last show.

I recommend seeing Shuffle Along, because 1) Audra McDonald and 2) it's closing soon.
School of Rock and Waitress seem to be getting good reviews so those are options. Fun Home is closing soon as well.
We were thinking of going to Shuffle Along next Wednesday night. I'll probably base my decision on what I can get on TodayTix.

I think there is going to be a big drop off on the crazy resale prices after the 9th.

I remember seeing it twice in high school and then taking dh again when we were dating in college. I love Les Mis!
I think one of the only plays I ever truly hated was Cats.

Fiddler on the Roof and The Color Purple are both great. I've been listening to their soundtracks non stop lately. Matilda is fun as well and is closing soon. Fun home is great but will destroy you.

So many good shows are closing soon! I'll probably decide last minute depending what's at the tkts booth or on today tix. This is likely my only trip I'll see a show with out my kids. Fully committed, Act of God and Curious incident of the dog in the night time have all been on my list.

I saw Fiddler last week, the main actor is amazing and the show is good. The Today Tix app is good for tickets to shows.

I sent this to @CheerBank , but I figure other people would find it useful. (the link will need to be copied and pasted. Tumblr is weird.)

Danny Burstein, also known as the guy who has been on Law & Order 6 times as 6 different characters. Oddly enough, he's been nominated for a Tony 6 times. Melanie Moore, who won SYTYCD a few seasons ago is in it too, she's one of the sisters.

I recognized Melanie right away from her picture!

His smile is so infectious. Fiddler did a quick thing on Stephen colbert's show and him laughing at colbert struggling to put on a fake beard cured world peace for about 2 seconds. It's the like the jolliest laugh ever. It's impossible to not smile when he smiles.
