Is anyone/anyone's cp in girl scouts or has been? Went to a recruitment event tonight and considering it for cp, but not sure. I was in it so many years ago but didn't get much out of it.

Both my girls are Daisy drop outs. Never made it over that bridge.

When I was a brownie I went to sleep away Girl Scout camp for literally 3 days

I sent a dramatic letter home to my mom that started "I hate it here."

It arrived after I returned home [emoji19]

They made us hike through the woods and up a mountain, which probably was just a big hill since we don't have mountains here [emoji53].

I made some girl carry me on her back while my sister carried my sleeping bag.

Girl Scouts and Girl Scout camp were by far the most trying and traumatic times of my childhood. I hated everything about it. The hustling cookies...the other kids....the crafting

But I'm dramatic.

Other kids loved Girl Scouts.

No positive experiences lol. Well it's a nonissue for now anyway, the only open troop for her grade meets on cheer practice nights!

This is the exact reason my parents didn't put me in Girls Scouts. In addition to the fact that I wouldn't be in the same troop as my friends, they knew I had 0 interest in nature.

My school district owned a plot of land in the middle of nowhere VA. You sleep over and what not when you're in elementary school-all the camping experience I needed. I literally dreaded going for day trips in middle school because they'd always try to make us spot wild animals and touch reptiles.

I took AP Environmental Science (?) and we went. I asked my mom to write me an excuse but my mom made me go. I spent three hours identifying plants.

The smell of campfire is triggering 10 years later.

oml!!! So today at a competition I went to today, me and a few of my girl teammates were walking in the hall where there was like no one at. So we were walking past this man, 50-ish or something and out of no where he asks "Can I take a picture of you guys?". haha, good times. It was awkward too!:confused::confused:

I loved Guides (Scouts), but I enjoy going camping and I was a badge (insert not nice word here). I tried to collect every badge I could, so that was fun for me. Agree that your leaders will make or break a group. I was lucky and always had good ones, so we did a lot of cool trips/visits/other stuff

See I don't hate the outdoors. I just hate camping...the actual sleeping outdoors part. I don't see the why. I can hike all day long. I'll look at your plants and animals.... but I'm not sleeping outdoors with them. Once in college all of my friends went camping, I came and drove home at 2am. When everyone got in their sleeping bag, I got in my car and drove out of the woods.

I was trying to find General Hospital on a Canadian site because it didn't air on the US and saw the commercial, been watching all day.

So far it's more like TNG than previous seasons all though this musical they keep trying to push is bizarre.
