I'm a newbie to this and just heard of doing this--decorating your hotel door at competitions. I'd love to see what you have come up with

I have seen this before but as the world seems to have more perverts these days, I dont feel comfortable advertising who is in the room. Decorations are one thing, but I really don't like pictures of the kids on the door. But that just my opinion....
I don't think we would do pictures, but decorating I don't see a problem with --all of our parents also travel with their child so each parent would either opt or not

I'm glad you aren't doing pictures but lots do use them. You can get really creative with it. Pretend you are making a poster or sign for the competition and just transfer that idea to the door :)

OR NAMES. This is why we never did it. It's a crazy world we live in and predators look out for our kids...

When I cheered allstars (FOREVER AGO) we decorated doors. Mostly for hotels that had doors facing in with large windows.

My school girls decorate the Disney windows at nationals every year. Most teams do some sort of decorating.

we did door decorations when I was in elementary school but I don't have pictures. I think it was just shapes and streamers in team colours with our name in a megaphone

One of the moms organized a big wreath making thing at CP's gym in January, right before we started all the traveling. It's the mesh on a wire frame and that thing turned out huge. It was fun making them and laughing and hanging out with everyone while we did them but I never took that gigantic thing to one hotel, but several from our gym did. Mine turned out okay but some parents' wreaths looked a lot better than mine did.

Randomly stumbled upon this account when I was looking for Summit practicewear. In theory, I think they're beautiful and wish I could craft like that. In real life, obviously I agree with everyone about the safety issues. I'd probably get my hypothetical child one for their door at home.
