Oh sorry, I misunderstood lol
I did keyword search. I started with back+flexibility+damage but didn't get anything except for stretches for getting movement back after an injury. I tried gymnastics+spine+injury and a few rewordings of basically that, and then ended up trying gymnastics+hyperflexibility and just replaced the second word with spine, back, lower lumbar, pain, etc. I also tried a few of hyper flexibility and things like spine, but mostly got people who have disk slip injuries not from stretching.
I only kind of did a cursory search, I kind of thought it would be pretty easy to find and I had just missed the memo since other people knew about it. When I didn't see it I asked because I thought there was an article or something people had seen about new evidence or orthopedists changing their mind and that's why there was suddenly a push back against back flexibility.

I used the EBSCO host service which searches CINAHL Complete, MEDLINE Complete, Psychology & Behavioral Sciences Collection, Gale Cengage, ProQuest, NIH, PubMed, Medscape 1&2, and the DOAJ. But I'm sure there are better ways to utilize them, I didn't know what to search to find what I was looking for. Most of the stuff I could find talked about stretching only one side of your body causing problems.

Any tips? I'm not the best at research obviously, if you tell me what I should search I will!

I'll try to remember to search tomorrow at work. Try including "contortion or flexibility or hyper-flexibility" and try taking off the end of flexibility and searching "flex*"
