Just looked at the schedule for today.

Brandon goes on at 4:45 and Medium Coed doesn't start until 6:30. Which is perfect because I leave for the gym at 4:50 and my class finishes at 6:30.

Hashtag blessed. :shaka:

Here is my question about the 3rd mat panel..
They are tumbling from the same corner, maybe even hitting the same tumbling pass which means they're going to LAND in the same spot thus creating a dead spot on the mat.

I don't see it as a curse, maybe just a little too much tumble love lolol

the first team of Worlds fell on that panel

Yeah I'm 99% sure someone with the gym runs the music. They are right there, at least. Maybe the event music guy is the one who actually hits stop, and that's why it messed up.

They do. I did music in the Field House yesterday for our small senior. My guess is that the music guy cuts the feed from that stereo to switch back to the in between music and he thought they were done and cut too early.

I choose to believe that we can have both. And if we work hard enough, them maybe we won't have to look at teams being unable to pull heel-stretches.

It is possible to both tumble and pull a dang heel stretch.

FTFY.

Gymnasts have more muscles and are more flexible than cheerleaders (ETA: in general). So it can clearly be done, we just don't put the effort in training for it ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

I recall, lol
I just think maybe it's not actually a curse and just where people land a lot so it seems as though its "doomed"
If he started from a different corner and landed somewhere else chances are he might of still fell
Obviously we'll never know but, just was a question or more of a suggestion

Here's the thing about Generals and this inversion.

As a judge, you only have so much time and can only do so much review before you're forced to move on to the next team in the division.

So, while she may be inverted, disconnected and it be out of level, if they don't see it, then it doesn't matter. Judges miss deductions. All. The. Time. I silently pray for judges to not see things that I do with my kids. So if they don't get the deductions, I really hope no one starts saying they didn't deserve it because they should've had x, y z. If we rewatched every routine and paused it to see things, we'd find a TON of deductions for everyone!

haha maybe

No. Small international Coed
Doesn't Cali already have a small international coed? I thought they didn't like putting worlds teams up against each other. Also do you know if they are moving medium all girl to a different location or is there just not going to be a cali team in that division? Really going to miss Aces in med all girl :(

I get that maybe you don't wanna push scorpions/needles, but heel stretches shouldn't be a problem.. if you have to bend over and have your knee bent... Girl. No.
It's not that hard to stretch at home. I promise. You've probably been flying since the mini days. You need to take some responsibility for your flex. I get that everyone has a different amount of natural ability, but it's about practice. I've become more flexible than naturally flexible girls since I stretch at home, and I'm not even a flyer. But personally if I went to worlds I would want to be as flexible as I can, simply to be proud of what I can do.

Earlier you were talking about scorpions and needles, not heel stretches. Here's a good read on flexibility, muscle and limitations.
Human Anatomy Fundamentals: Flexibility and Joint Limitations
No sorry I don't quite believe that. And that is not a particularly scientific article, to be honest.

I actually was not talking about scorpions or needles, I was talking general flexibility.

And I don't really believe in making excuses for flyers who can't pull a body position, because that is kind of a big part of their job and a big part of our sport.

Perhaps this is a discussion for another forum, another time.
