But they have two worlds teams... they should have consolidated the worlds athletes from coed and ag onto one small/medium coed team and put the rest on a small r5 and a small s4.

Both routines were equally scary to watch unfortunately.

It's a shame because really, Shade could KILL IT at Summit as a R5 or even a S4.

But as a new-ish location, sometimes ownership feels like they NEED a Worlds team to attract athletes. Especially in an area in which kids have options like FAME, MD Twisters, etc.
Based on that performance I'm not sure they would kill it even in the R5 division right now. Too many scary fulls and multiple layouts being thrown. And does anyone even have a double in the routine? We see gyms that build a Worlds teams around maybe a couple amazing tumblers but not sure I even saw that here.

Which is why I included S4. They could be a killer S4. Heck, if they CLEANED up the fulls, they could be a decent R5 by end of season.

I saw a few doubles (like 2) but they were of the "oh my goodness that makes my ACL hurt just watching it" variety.

And just in case any Shade kids or parents are reading this, it really is not your/your child's fault. Coaches are supposed to put teams in the best position to do well. Placing this team in a Worlds division isn't looking out for their best interest.

Oh and Worlds prelims have quite a few of those teams that REALLY should have been Senior 4 or R5 but the owner's kid and like, 2 other kids got a double or a specialty pass to double so let's just go for it.

I also should have said amazing Worlds level 5 tumblers, no doubt this is a group of very talented kids, they are just in the wrong division.

Team Gunz is my pick to win worlds, that’s what I want Cheer to look like. Clean but dynamic, solid as a rock, and showy without being ridiculous. They have all the numbers I expect to see in every category but they make it look easy.

I feel like a lot of teams have difficult routines, but they always look like they’re working their a$$ off to keep things in the air and like the routine is a marathon they’re trying to sprint. CJA as a program looks so confident in everything they’re doing they don’t even look like they break a sweat!

SSX are looking better and better each time I see them. Especially now that they've packed all their difficult tumbling back in.

I expect excellent stunts, pyramid, dance and performance from SSX. But tumbling difficulty is the one area Generals consistently outdoes them. Not this year it seems...
