more of a well rounded program? i'm not attacking your opinion by any means, im just curious as to why you think that?

I just see them as having a lot better lower levels. I kind of find ECE overrated as well just because they have so much history. Not saying they aren't a talented program but a lot of people see them as the premier gym that is untouchable but they are beatable. People just don't see that because they aren't in the area watching the local competitions.

Everyone is entitled to their own opinion. This list is in no way saying: Sparks is the best gym in MA and thats that. Its just saying IMO Sparks is the best!

And everyone is entitled to their own opinion. I am not basing my information on my thoughts, I'm basing it on facts and success records, off of length and strength of programs.

I think it is very difficult to pick one gym to represent a entire state. It really would depend on what levels/divisons you are talking about!!! Are you talking about only level 5 or lower levels?? PA has been discussed alot in other posts and PA is a perfect example of this(plus I kind of know the area ;))...Cheer Tyme, FCA, Hot Cheer, Pittsburgh SuperStars, Fire and Ice just to name a few because there are many more great gyms in PA. All of these gyms are very good at what they do but dont always compete against each other so its very hard to pick just one. I would say its a testament to how amazingly talanted the kids are from the PA area :D

not this thread again....

i wish all states had a state championship competition where majority of the programs attended. it really is a beautiful thing. i'm not going to attempt to guess the best in other states, but what i do know: Maryland= Twisters. You all know the national & upper level accomplishments, but the accolades run across the board.

next best program: Crimson Heat.

I have to agree with you there..... aside from Cheer Tyme and the Pittsburgh area gyms, the entire state has some great programs....Eastern PA has Valley Elite and Rocket Elite...also State All Stars is from I think Central PA.

Thanks for the compliment- State All Stars is in Norristown,PA southeastern PA. We are taking 2 level 5 teams to worlds this year and also have a youth 5 team

I was just about to ask if everyone was basing this simply off level 5 teams (as they usually do) or if this was judging the ENTIRE PROGRAM....Levels 1-6. There are a ton of programs that may not have the greatest lvl 5 team in the world but their lower levels are superb!

But everyone is entitled to their own opinion.

AZ Power Extreme has the good level 5 teams, but as an overall gym I would have to say DSE

It is funny when people comment and have no idea what they are talking about.
The person who said this has not been following the results so far this year.
I am referring to "the good lever 5 teams" comment. Look back at American Grand
and Valley of the Sun results. Good luck to all in Palm Springs this weekend!

I really only know anything about Indiana teams but it's hard to pick 1 overall best gym ( in my heart though, it's always going to be Indiana Ultimate.) Terre Haute university is a small gym whose mini 1 consistently does awesome every time we see them. Indiana Elite always gives our teams a run for our money and Hollywood allstars and Speed Athletics have beaten us as many times as we have beaten them. Everyone knows Ice does well at worlds. But to pick a best overall program is difficult because every gym has strengths and weaknesses.

I agree...some teams have awesome level 5s or 4s but other teams may be weak...and some gyms have awesome lower level teams but lack strong level 5 teams

Is "State Championships" like a statewide Allstar competition? It would be great to have one in our state. We normally compete against our immediate competition (For Saint Louis, it consists of Platinum Athletics, Cheer LegendZ, Pride of Illinois and Spirit Elite) but it would be great to compete against the other talent in Missouri as well (GAGE, Capitol City, Athletes Plus, plus a few others I know I am missing that are smaller gyms) What kind of scoresheets are used?

Coastal Corporation runs the MD. State Championship and I am pretty sure they use the Jamfest scoresheet. This is the same company that does Battle at the Capital they are a JamBrands company.
