GT Platinum had their routine looked at again last night (along with Pink's) and their new score moved them from 4th to 2nd. Shouldn't they have gotten the right score in the first place? Crazy, but I'm so happy for Platinum!

PS - Did anyone notice the smilie face on the side of Cheersport's Result page? Haha

i just got a phone call about this. i dont want to start drama but this was what was told to me whether it's true or not:

gymtyme went to the judges and basically said that if they didn't remove the deductions they got, they would no longer compete at a cheersport competition, and that this is what they said was the reason when cheersport called jamie to say why they were moving georgia down to 3rd.

please remember, this is what I was told. I'm not at cheersport, I don't know if this is true, and I'm not trying to start drama or anything like that, but if it is true, I'm very disappointed.

so for final scoring, do they just add the two days scores together? i thought someone said it was 50/50, but looking at IO5 results, rockstar killers final score was 867.4.

For 50/50 all you need to do is add the scores. Both days have the same weight. You could divide by 2, but it still comes out exactly the same.

i was just expecting to see numbers in the 300's & 400's and was thrown off by such high scores. thanks!

Not knowing any of the particulars, they could've asked for a review on the deductions. I highly doubt a competition with over 900 teams competing is going to give in to that kind of threat. It wouldn't hurt their business if GT pulled or no longer attended. Regardless of how big a name they are.

thats like a mafia threat or something, if thats true thats crazy i mean granted Platinum was AMAZING but to go threaten a company to remove deductions is a tad much...

Hm weird then because Cheersport leaves it up to the coaches to stop the music, or atleast that was what was in the packet thing.

Also the Gym Tyme thing, I know you were told that, but it could start a really nasty rumor if it isn't true so why post it at all?

I haven't even seen any videos of any teams. The person who told me this doesn't have any association or vendetta against gymtyme.

all she was doing was sharing information, who knows if its true or not, im not gonna get all upset about it either, but you have to admit with how they use dartfish to check deductions now, it is strange, why not just change them before scores came out? Gymtyme could have later asked for them to review the deductions, but to move from last to second?

because if it's true, it really leaves me questioning the validity of cheersport. Especially since it doesn't seem to be the only strange thing that has happened this weekend.
