All-Star Do You Think 24 Gyms Is Alot For A State?

It depends on the size of the state. In Texas that is probably the number of gyms in and around a large city alone.

Hmm, I would say it's a good/average-ish amount! I definatly had to look up Michigan to see what it looked like... haha.

Hmm well looking just at the size of the state and the number of people who live there I'd say that's a relatively small number BUT geographically I'd say it is a lot because Michigan is very far north and cheer is more popular in southern states.

yeah but no one in the upper peninsula, NO ONE even knows what allstars is!!?

Well, being a cheerleader at Grand Valley State in Michigan....but having cheered my whole life in allstar in Illinois...
Let me say that Michigan cheer is VERY different from just about the rest of country. I would say no, that there are not a lot of cheer gyms in Michigan at all. There are none near our campus. It is not very popular, as there are only about three or four people in our ENTIRE PROGRAM at Grand Valley who did allstar cheer (two being from outside of Michigan). Many of them did not know what allstar was like at all when I would talk about it.

Also, even High School cheer is very different in Michigan. The concept of cheering to music is like unheard of. They have three different rounds, one for motions, one for jumps and standing tumbling, and one for stunts and MAYBE running tumbling (no one really does a lot of running tumbling). It is so strange.

my gyms one of them! trust me, we dont like going to MI comps...theres abosoulty NO COMPETITION! were vizion allstars, we used to be cheer one! idk if you have heard of us? i mean we did win cheersport, jamfest and all...so yeah haha.
