When I coached this past season, we did matching gym t-shirts for local competitions and then on two day competitions it was matching t-shirts day one, dress up day two. I was normally was the most dressed up one but I coached a team that was named Cheetahs and I always just found the cutest dressy cheetah print stuff I simply couldnt resist <3. I'm not saying coaches should be wearing a suit or anything but I 100% think that it looks bad when coaches look like they rolled out of bed. Just like when there are kids walking around with skirts un-zipped and uggs, when coaches walk around wearing sweatpants, warm up jackets, and a sloppy bun, it doesnt represent a program well.

yeah same with my coaches..usually like jeans uggs (our rinestoned ones for our gym) and like a nice shirt!

but okay..not gonna lie...i wear my rinestoned uggs:( but its my cheer teams uggs? but i wear my warmup jacket with my skirt..(skirts dont zip) haha..or a tshirt! is that bad?

First day matching t-shirts and the second day was is a black button down with the gym logo....both days...matching personalized staff nike shoes :)

I find the coaches in 5 inch heels kinda scary. Makes me want to send my daughter to college as a foot surgeon. Our coaches look stylish AND able to get around comfortably all day...nice jeans and great gym shirts.

OK so one competition I was guilty of the 5 inch heels, they were cheetah printed and ruffled and I just HAD to. I switched to cheetah print flats half way through the day...

The best is when these coaches are walking around on the mat during awards and steps:( on one of my athletes. Yes, this really happened...

some get too dressed up, some should get dressed up. and some need to realize that they're coaches not strippers and they're at a cheer compeition not a club!

LOL too funny! Sometimes we wonder huh? My first year coaching I was totally the dressed up coach lol! Then when I realized how much my feet hurt after running around Slugger Stadium I thought twice the 2nd year. I invested in some good flats and flat boots for colder comps. We usually did jeans and gym shirt day 1. Local comps we dressed up more I guess and same for day 2 (JUST NOT HEELS LOL). This past year we would dress up day 1 (party night hosted by most comps for coaches) and then day 2 jeans and sponsor shirt our kids were wearing. It gave us a more comfortable drive home. Atlanta was an exception...for me it was whatever kept me warm because that place was FREEZING and whatever kept us comfortable lol...it was a long weekend!

We talked to a group that seriously looked like they were at their gym coaching and we got into this convo, they told us they have to look like they are at their gym because their teams are not competition teams, they are practice teams. Sounds strange to me, but apparently they would hit routines flawlessly at the gym but go to comps and bomb...once their coaches started looking and acting like they were at the gym the teams performed as if they were only at practice. Weird, but hey whatever works...lol

Our gyms' coaches have always worn matching gym t-shirts! But for our very last competition ever as a gym they all got a little dressed up. I love to see all the coaches out of the regular and dressed up, but some just don't know when to stop! Lol!

the girl coaches at my gym all match day 2.. weather its a dress from forever 21 or jeans and a gym tshirt.. whatever they wear is appropriate even if its a dress and heels
