I was kinda hoping they would switch from the usual and make it the bottom 2 go home regardless of gender.

well theres only one winner, the other gender that is not the winner just gets an honorable mention. Like cat just says " congrats your top male dancer ", but they get nothing special.



Since this season was done different from all others ( regular dancing in top 20 and dancing with allstars in top 10 ), I don't think anyone really knows how elimination in top 10 will work.

They award America's favorite dancer. One year they gave the winner $250k, and also have the longest lasting dancer of the opposite sex $50k. That was when Katie was the top female and I think Joshua won the whole thing.
