A true heelstretch should have the hip rolled under and the knee facing the back, not the side. The heel should be down and the toe turned slightly out - not in. Now, if I could only get my flyers to do it!!

Our coaches are very specific when it comes to a heel stretch. Your leg must be in front of you, not to the side, hips forward and heel facing forward. I agree that most incorrect stretches are overlooked and could easily be fixed in a short amount of time with the proper stretching. Also, I hate when I see girls bend their knee to grab their stretch. Use those abs and kick it up! :)

Don't really understand this comment since a scale is pulled in a totally different hip position???

Also, I have always heard of heel stretches, front stretches, power stretches, and over stretches(bows)....I have always thought a heel stretch had the heel slightly turned???

No heel to the front toes turning out not in. @thebowqueen explained it very well.

I know what she means. I just raided the Best Scorp thread. Scale close to the body =

Sorry, not trying to turn this into a scorpion thread. Just wanted to explain. Continue with the pretty heel stretches. =) Maybe my fave body position. I love them.
