do you think it's ok for a team in a small division to only have 4 stunts now a days? i have not really seen any teams only put up 4 stunts so i wanted to see what everyones opinions are. i personally think that you need 5 stunts.

It depends. On a scoresheet like JamBrands, if you have 20 members and only put up 4 stunts, you'll get killed on the Quantity portion. However, only putting up 4 stunts won't put you out of the running if you can make up for in other areas.

my team in the past always has about 18 or 19 people and only 4 groups and it has never hurt us at any competition.

Put up the hardest stunt you can do but only if it is flawless in every way. There's a point in which it's not what you're doing, but how you're doing it. Worlds head judge told us that.

What if the case is
Team A puts up their main stunt sequence with 4 stunts up with a lot of difficulty and good execution and then they do a second single based sequence with 6 stunts that is pretty simple.
vs
Team B puts up 5 in their main stunt with less difficult then team A with good execution but they also do a similar 6 stunt sequence as team A did.

even though team B had a less difficult stunt sequence would it help that they put up both 5 and 6 stunts up?

When Woodlands Elite was in the small senior division at NCA/Worlds they usually only had 4 stunt groups and did pretty well. But I personally like to see 5.

well as long as your scoring a 10 on quantity for stunts and doing majority (3 out of 5 stunts) leveled skills than your fine with 4. I think its okay in level 4 and below. Which is why my level 3 team last year 6 half up to aerosbesques because i got quantity for 6 stunts and i did my leveled skills in 6. So all I had to do was full down, invert, and hit some body positions. If I wanted to i could have done some body positions and full down and all i had to do was an inversion. :)

Apparently at Xtreme Spirit 4 groups on a team of 20 doing tickups scorps, beats a team of 15 doing 4 tickup stretches.

Those score sheets are crazy. Too much grey area

It's okay one year I coached at a gym where a team beat a team by 20 points. The team that won had 20 kids but only had 3 stunts, 3 baskets, 5 groups for pyramid. They maxed out in tumbling. And the team that last had 16 put up 4 stunts, 4 baskets, 5 groups for pyramid. They maxed out in stunts and had majority everything else.

I have never liked Xtreme Spirit.

It's important to remember that regardless of the number of stunts, you still need to hit the scoresheet. Creative/unique level legal load-ins and dismounts, creative transitions ect. A team with 4 stunts can easily beat a team with 5 stunts if they can make it up in other areas.
