From the video it looks like TG didn't need any help. Wish day 1 was posted too.
Such a shame all the shady looking stuff by the EP going on, it degrades the integrity of the paid bid. Hope they did pay their fees and for their own hotel. It may not be breaking any rules but by giving such preferential treatment to one team but it gives the appearance of impropriety. Not saying it happened just saying it gives the appearance that something could have gone on.

this is absolutely true! their scoring was so unbelievable. we scored high in difficulty in stunts, but tumbling we got nailed on. since we had doubles and the rest fulls, they only counted the percentage of the doubles. so we got 30% on tumbling...basically all of our fulls could of been tucks and still wouldnt have counted. but we decided to throw the same skills and not change anything. and another thing the judges did (which were 19 years old?!), was not countt how many skills were thrown! like seriously, were you sneezing the whole opening or something? they gave us less percentage on tumbling than we really did have. this competition was a complete joke and I WILL NEVER compete here again. with losing people from last years scores/bids, to "inviting" top gun and unfair scoresheets, this competition will be dead anyway.

i had this issue with them last year. granted it was a mini 1 team- but they only scored the tumbling that was my last pass (two girls doing the hardest skills). When i questioned it, i was told that they only score the hardest level appropriate skill. i asked if i should have nuggeted the rest of my team that couldn't do that pass- i was told that it would have gotten me the same amount of point if i had. This is the same day that i got my day 1 score sheets back and had a ZERO for jumps. i questioned this as well- and was told that my team didn't do jumps. who goes to a 2 day nationals and doesn't have jumps in the routine?! Turns out that the judge was judging tumbling and jumps. she put her head down to write my scores for tumbling and missed the jumps. At least they went back and rescored....

Did i5 wear those black wardrobe malfunction unis from last year? I can't make it out in the video. All I can picture is them freezing their butts off in those in the Wisconsin snow. haha

Anyone have a clear or better video of topgun?

I have the video from day 1 that was sold at the competition but I don't think I can post that. Interestingly enough they stopped selling the video from that session. The sales person said too many people were counting deductions and complaining.

I don't think anyone really means to bad mouth Top Gun. We all know they are really hard working great athletes. Unfortunately what Xtreme did put them in a bad position. They paid for a 5 bedroom luxury condo for the TG team and called it a "staff room". Then on Day 1 they ignored obvious deductions which put them in first place. Anyone there with eyes could do the math and figure their score would have been lower then 191.71 out of 200 - they give 5 point deductions for a stunt fall. What is TG supposed to do though. Who in their right mind would argue that?

It's a shame for all the other teams who's parents paid a lot of money to come this competition thinking all teams would be treated the same. When you talk about athletes getting paid to be at an event most people would understand that in professional sports but not sports where high school and college kids are involved. But again, this is not Top Guns fault! The shame is on the EP. I think if I were the former Top Gun coach who now works for them I'd go back to Top Gun. Not sure they'll be in business much longer if they keep this up.

I hope everyone who didn't get a bid there doesn't get discouraged. Keep trying and it will happen!

Lastly Merry Christmas to everyone. I hope we all get a little break from the craziness of this business over the holiday.
