I actually enjoyed watching this! They have so much passion. They're running tumbling was actually pretty decent, but i am glad that the poor guy didnt throw a toe tuck again

honestly.. better than some hs teams i've seen.

and as a sidenote: i really wish all of their music was like the dance. you can tell that is from their country and what they're used to. instead of mashing up senior elite and stars i wish they embraced being from jamaica! their personalities really come out there! to me, that's the point of international competition.

So, this is an example of the Worlds....the "Olympics of cheerleading"? I actually loved the entire thing, endearing I guess (though got a little scared here and there). At the end, this team was just so happy and pumped, it made me happy, but is that what Worlds is about? We beotch about the teams getting bids that don't deserve it from USA, but this is okay?

So, is this really the World Championship of Cheerleading? Really?..................

Their entire routine had me on my feet, I was dying! Literally the best dance at worlds... Sorry to the girl that I accidentally punched in the face, their dance just gave me life.

As much as I love their routine I have to agree with you. Its WORLDS not just some random competition. Its not fair that teams get to make it this far in the competition just because they are the best from their country.

When there are 200 teams representing the US and 1 from Jamaica.. yes they belong in a WORLD championship.

Does the self taught tumbling and the single-downs out of stunts basically landing in other stunt groups make me nervous? absolutely. Did they earn a bid just like the 50th place small senior team did? yes, they did. In my eyes they deserve to be there even more than that team because they provide true international competition. if they are the best that jamaica has to offer, then so be it.

Someone has to lose the olympics and someone has to lose worlds. Both Worlds and the Olympics would not be the prestigious events they are without international representation.

So, I think one of the male cheerleaders was a street tumbler that I was when i was on a cruise that stop in Jamaica. Awkward!!! lol

A team still has to qualify for the olympics--and not every team from every country makes it. The US men's soccer team didn't get in to London 2012.

But with such a prestigious competition like the Olympics, you'd never encounter someone who wasn't an elite athlete in their sport. The prestige is not so much the international competition as it is being the best among the best. Otherwise, what's the point?

That doesnt give them the right to move on onto finals or semi finals, if prelims is all they make it past then it is what it is.
