OT New Random Thread

So the other day Alanama's advertising team competed in the National Student Advertising Competition. There were 15 districts with 152 teams that were narrowed to 19 to go to nationals. They only rank the top 4 and we placed 2nd! We were behind Nebraska by 1.5 but had the highest overall scored plans book. That made me so happy because on the team I was plans book director, there was a lot of pressure to get it done and we pulled it off. So happy for my team, we didn't win but I am just as fine being 2/152.

Does anyone around here know about computer specs? I'm in need of a new laptop for school so I'm looking at two Core i5 computers, but one has a DVD Super Multi Burner and the other has a DVD Single Layer Burner. I can't figure out the difference between the two and I couldn't, so if anyone else has a clue before I pull the trigger on one, that'd be great.

My favorite stores are Pac Sun, American Eagle, and Garage(we have one in my mall!!). I also like to shop at Papaya sometimes they have really cute stuff and its CHEAP!
for shorts: abercrombie and hollister
other stores: charlotte russe, bp by nordstrom and sometimes kohls has cute tops.

Different subject but in addition to cheering for my all star team this year, I have high school tryouts tomorrow

When we went to Dallas for NCA we went to the mall and I bought so much stuff, like 4 dresses a few shirts, and a skirt and it was like $75. I'm hooked!

My daughter wanted to tumble to CA panthers worlds music lol.. She could only do standing tumbling since it was a small mat and we have 0 carpet in this whole house but it's funny and stupid!

CNET.com is the most reliable and technically sound source I have found for these types of questions, as well as product recommendations. You might want to try there and see if they have your answers.

Isn't making up your mind on what laptop to buy one of the hardest decisions to make? I've picked husbands with less angst than picking a laptop. LOL

i want to dye my hair so bad (like colored tips) but i can't because of work...) i just found extensions with the tips exactly how i wanted and i am the happiest child ever right now. Plus since theyre clip in it won't damage my hair and i can take them out whenever.

I really want a new kitten but I'm only 17.....
We have two cats right now but both stay outside and I haven't had my "baby" since my last cat got hit. He used to sleep with me, lick my face- I miss that. Still sleep with my arm open where he used to sleep. Any ideas on how I can convince my parents??

They keep saying, "You're going off to college and can't keep a cat!" But I think I could. I could have an apartment of animal friendly dorm....
