OT New New Random Thread...

My friend and I joke that we have this weird CT Politeness that only other CT people seem to understand (mostly CT girls). Like we're OVERLY polite, and that was the first thing my mom taught me about parties. It's just rude, because I'm sure it's happened to you (it's happened to me!) and you don't want that awkward for other people. If you want to ask me, ask me in a private moment..sorry people are senseless!

In other news- my roommate's dog pooped all over the living room while I was gone to work. Said roommate isn't here, which is frustrating because the dog only does crazy weird stuff like this when she's NOT here (like her eating all my pb cups, wrappers and all. Or like this week when she raided our bathroom garbage to rip apart all the pads and tampons...)

So I had to clean up dog poop and then sanitize our wooden floor. Oh joy..

My dog does the same thing! EEWWWHHH

So I may or may not have bought my niece another Power Wheels car.. not even three years old yet and she's already got two cars to cruise around in.. Barbie Volkswagen and now a yellow Mini Cooper, she's sure gonna be a stylin toddler.

So the little 5 year old girl always had to let them in and out to go to the bathroom..anyway one day we just didn't let them out/forgot to (whoops) and the bigger dog pooped on the kitchen floor. I discovered the poop when the little girl hit her head and I was carrying her to the kitchen to get an ice pack and I stepped in the poop, slipped, and almost fell while carrying the kid.

most awkward moment of my life right now, pretty sure one of my group members for a project just asked me out and I have a boyfriend and I have no idea what on earth to say because if he didn't mean it like a date and I say something I could make it awkward and were working on a project all year long and if he does and I say I have a boyfriend it will still be awkward WHAT IS MY LIFE ABOUTTTT

Suggest asking other people you know so it's like a group thing. That way if he meant it as a date he might get the subtle hint that you're not interested.

i just hate it cause i have to see him first thing tomorrow morning and work on the project and were going to be together for the rest of the semester and i hate making things weird between people because this has happened one too many times to me. i would rather it be possible for me to just ignore that he said anything and just never talk to him again ..kinda sort of kidding lol

I worked with a guy at university who acted sort of similar. I felt bad because I just wasn't interested in him. I tried to make a joke out of it because he was my friend but he wasn't my type. We still talk occasionally but it was tough to get past the awkwardness at first. I guess you just have to man up and hope he's not desperately in love with you . Or introduce him to one of your nice girl friends and hope for the best.

lol yeah see that usually wouldnt be a problem except my friends that are single are on the other side of the province and i dont have too many girl friends at my university cause i've always gotten along with boys better which only leads to well these sort of issues

I think your plan to ignore him may be the only option. Feign ignorance, maybe he'll get bored and move on. Or if it becomes obvious that he is EXTREMELY interested just casually mention your boyfriend frequently.
