I have to say I think the Charlotte gym is doing great for their first year. The teams have improved so so much since the first videos came out at the beginning of the year!
Yeah all of the CEA gyms are great... but not world champion amazing. all of the smaller gyms level 5s are great but compared to the front runners of their divisions or compared to the top CEA teams they are more like your typical level 5 teams... where as the Kville and Raleigh teams are exceptional level 5 they truly have a shot at top 3 at worlds.

or perhaps to downunder...a multi-national gym, now that would be interesting!
I've always wondered if that would be possible! I used to live in Germany and I thought it would be so cool if a gym like California (California All Stars Germany, haha) or Cheer Athletics could open a gym outside of the USA.

With the advent of skype and international travel getting cheaper etc Im sure it will be possible one day!

I don't think its "what the other gyms in the area have to offer" ... they could have as much to offer as they can, but can't field a solid level 5 team. or maybe they can have a solid level 5 team, and they place well at worlds but it's having the "CEA" name that would make kids want to leave a gym they've been at their whole life just for the chance to wear the "CEA" uniform and say they're a part of the program. I mean, props to CEA for expanding their business and giving kids who otherwise wouldn't have the opportunity to cheer for cheer exteme, but as a cheerleader, I don't understand the point of having more than 1 gym, maybe 2. Especially when they're all so far apart. How is the owner supposed to focus on all 8 gyms at 1 time and keep consistency throughout all of them? I feel like if I were to be at the CEA Pittsburgh (or wherever it's going to be), it would be like the younger sibling that always has to live in the older siblings shadow if that makes since. CEA opens up a new gym, not everyone expects them to be as good as the main gym, but at the same time they do. I'm not against CEA opening up another gym, but I'm not for it either.

So how many multiple location gyms have "world champion amazing" teams in every location?

Well, we need to expand the whining, because that's one of the 2-3 biggest problems in this sport.

I don't care that multiple gyms are owned by one entity and I've made that pretty clear. Just don't like that they are owned by an event producer AND compete at those events.

I was totally ignorant of this ... which gyms are owned by Varsity?
